Bad rear wheel bearings?

Bad wheel bearing?
I suspect I have a bad rear wheel bearing. I’ve been feeling/hearing a roaring type noise for a couple hundred miles, now I hear and feel a bumping sound that speeds up and slows down as I drive. Anyone else can confirm bad wheel bearings?
It’s a 2016 GT with 43k miles

OEM.
Moog hasn't made decent parts for years. I'd buy Duralast before Moog.

Moog hasn't made decent parts for years. I'd buy Duralast before Moog.
yeah new OEM are holding up well. 2016 OEM bearings and nuts didn't last (I've replaced 4 or 5 rear bearings). 43k is about par for the course. Current OEM ones are a bit better, but they're still a 'wear item' check them periodically, but OEM replacements are good.

You might consider doing both sides at the same time, because if you have 43k on 2016 bearings, the other side probably isn't more than 10-20k away from needing a replacement too.

Not sure if i agree on doing both. Rear driver side is usually first and most likely to go. My driver's rear has gone twice but the right rear and fronts all have over 100k miles on them. Still kickin...

I was planning on replacing both…until today, it sounded like the passenger rear was roaring…now I can hear the driver side with a bumping sound. It sounds like flats spots in the tires

I’ve had to do both sides, twice each, and they fail due to mileage and use even if its not all about righty-tighty lefty-loosey. The bearings fail regardless of torque issues on the axle nuts, rear bearings on the S550 just dont last forever.

The OP can decide for themselves if they want to do one now and/or the other later.

I wouldnt trust a 100k mile bearing to hold on much longer so maybe consider picking up a backup for yourself too.

BCA, Timken or Ford.

I went with the FRPP HD ones with ARP studs front and rear. Factory ones went out around 45k, car has 70k now and hd ones are still ok. I guess we'll see in another 15,000 miles

I must be lucky as hell or something. I still have my OEM wheel bearings at nearly 90,000 miles, and they still appear to be fine 😇
