I have 2 really big issues. My car is in the garage all the time. I only take it to work 3 times a week max. When it is outside of the garage it is out maximum of 6 hours. It has 9,500 miles on her. The steering wheel on the top 10 to 2 like we are supposed to drive the leather is falling off. The other big problem I have is the drivers rear mirror has something wrong with it where if the sun is behind you it is impossible to see anything.:ford:

Is the stitching bad or just the leather wearing off? Do you wear some kind of ring or something scuffing the leather? Have you tried to clean the leather?
As for the mirror, that's the auto dimming feature. Most cars have a button to turn it off but the S550 does not so it thinks its a headlight blinding you and dim the mirror.

I only have my human flesh on the steering wheel. The Stitching is good. The leather has worn down to dull leather. I did a bad explanation on the rear mirror. It is the drivers left mirror on the door.

I don't think the side mirrors have auto dim so it's supposed to be like that? You can prob tint those. Or maybe adjust the mirrors lower

I thought the OP was just joking saying that he had worn the steering wheel by driving too aggressively and the mirror, like any other reflective surface, was blinding when the sun was shinning on it.

Do you have an image you can share for the steering wheel? It kind of just sounds like the protective finish just wearing off & the real material coming out.

As for the mirror, well, all I can say is to make sure they're angled appropriately for you. I've never had any vehicle where the mirrors don't blind me when the sun is behind me.

I’m guessing you didn’t notice that you were responding to a nine year old post. :giggle: :like:
