I would have not pulled my mods off it's a sports car that even Ford sells upgrades for it. I know plenty of people that had the dealer install supercharger and headers on mustang's. My clutch blew with 7,000 MLS on it I towed it to the dealership and I didn't even buy it there. The service manager said I must be racing it .I told him to prove it or fix it they fixed it. They have to prove your mods caused the problem. My old dealership for my 08 mustang gt did everything to my car from gears to cams. They stood behind it even with the other mods I did to it. They use to enjoy me doing burn out in the parking lot.

Thats a really good point IMO the damn CJ mani is an OEM Ford part. Im 100% positive Ford has like 34857375057 hours of R&D into that mani.

Quite frankly Id laugh at the dealer if they said the CJ or even the required tune to make it run caused any issue period.

As mentioned before I think demodding and then taking it in is asking for trouble.

It would be less likely to raise suspicion if you didnt hide/change anything.

What helps also with the dealership is having a background in automotive as a mechanic especially certified. In my situation with my mods and a blown clutch I went as far as proving my experience. I worked for the FBI in the NYC office as their automotive tech. My favorite part of that job was going to dealership's. I would have to go because a undercover agent would bring his government car in and the dealership and not knowing it's a government auto. They would try and get extra work out of him instead of doing the work or recall. So I would have to go and get the car. I let them talk to me to death. Then pull out my FBI identification and tell them to read my job title. They would pucker up!!! My point being Ford performance sells upgrades and tunes so what is the difference between using lunds racing tune to a Ford tune. I have a 18 manifold on my 17 mustang gt. I should remove it every time I go into the dealership for warranty work. NO if you are clueless then they will walk all over you!! YOU NEED PROOF TO BE GUILTY

Waiting for some kind of feedback.

There’s a few published SAE papers floating around about how Ethanol percentages affect the audible characteristics of internal combustion engines. The higher the Ethanol percentage the more audible noise created.
I tend to lean towards SAE documents vs. some Rag’s editor’s laymen version with pinups and go fast junk ad’s plastered on every other page.
Just saying......

Well as many of you predicted The dealer did nothing. At first they couldn't hear anything, so I told them to check it again , then they heard the noise, but mearly stated that it compares to like vehicles. F' it I gues I'll put everything back on and drive it. I love the car and after just three days of driving my 94 crown vic I couldn't wait to get back in the mustang

Lol. I would dump that CJ intake and buy a nitrous system. Way more bang for the buck. Good luck.

And please everyone, chill the fuck out about the clicks/ticks/noises. If motors where blowing left and right it’s another conversation.
I think that’s where I’m going with it. Nitrous and some drive train mods

Put everything back on today. I’m getting pretty quick at doing headers on these cars. Anyway, car runs great. It definitely makes some noise, but oh well I guess. It’s fast as hell

TGGT, now that your back on the good stuff maybe you should try the latest so called tick tock fix; Rotella T-6 5W-40.......
All I know is the Old 6.0 Power Strokes love that oil and that HEUI mill shears the crap out of most other oils.
Just a thought.

It’s diesel oil? I guess if it works it’s worth a shot. When I had the car at the stealership I had them change the oil. It does seem quieter with motorcraft oil
