When you did studs I assume you went with the 11mm studs. Anyone here done the 12mm conversion?
Only the 11-12 5.0's and GT350's were factory equipped with the 12mm bolts. If you wanted to upgrade to the 12mm I would highly recommend to take the block to a machine shop so that they are drilled and tapped true. Otherwise the 11mm studs are plenty strong for nearly all applications.

And 18+.... Ford went back to 12mm bolts with the Gen 3.

Just seeing this now, may as well do springs while your in there. Hate to do all that and have float.

Some have float, some don’t.

Yeah...going with a complete set of worked over heads so it will get new springs. Just trying to figure out if the 11mm head studs will hold or have block machined to accept the 12mm's.

Bro if you can afford it do it I talked to Michael at L&M ENGINES about it and he said another advantage when you running high boost is the cracked knock sensor bosses I guess where the 11mm stud ends in the block outs a lot of stress at the knock sensor boss that it cracks
