For the love of all that is holy does anyone have a part number for # 18? All the online Ford listings pass over it that I’ve found.

@LevittownFordParts

https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/oem-parts/ford-water-outlet-pipe-kr3z8592c

By referencing PN# "KR3Z-8592-C", I found the diagram referenced above. I spent time attempting to Google anything related, in the hope I'd be able to locate the part needed: #18. I could not.

I've mentioned Levittown Parts, who we often rely on for identifying items and helping us order replacements. IDK if you'll get a response on a Sunday, but you should get some feedback tomorrow.

Learn how to use the parts.ford.com website. Throw your vin in and it narrows your search. You can then go by category and when you find a diagram, click on related parts. Done.

It looks to me that the part number should be KR3Z-8529-A

A closer look makes it seem that Ford has the parts mixed up. Under the diagram for related parts, 8529A shows up as 8529B and vice versa.

I would definitely seek out a parts professional on this one. The rule of thumb is if you do, you buy it from them. Don't go cheap and eventually wind up with the wrong part after having to wait a week or two and having to return it.

I would definitely have a parts professional research this. It might cost you an extra $50, but the aggravation if you wind up with the wrong mail order part......

That's what I was showing at first, I then edited my message due to the mismatch of the parts on Ford's site.

The diagram from Ford clearly shows it is the A part. Then the descriptor says its the B. Vice versa on the B, it shows its the A.

I would not mail order this part. I would go to my dealer and just buy it after making sure they understand the confusion.

You're probably right but I think I would take a chance for the difference in price. So long as it's returnable.

Yea, if you have time and want to go through the aggravation. Most times, when it is clear cut, I would absolutely order online. But in this case, something isn't quite right. The B version comes up as a different part. If i was going to take a chance, I would go by the diagram and order the A part. I would make damn sure it is returnable and find out who pays return shipping. You order the A and they send you the A, then I don't think anyone is going to pay to return it except you. And there may be a restocking fee.

Thanks all, appreciate all the responses. I had also seen the A / B weirdness. I will try the forum associated dealer and see what they think, no Ford dealers in or near my town.

They will treat you fairly. If they help you, please give them the business.

All the best.

8592B in illustration (post#4) above = KR3Z 8592 A
8592A in illustration (post#4) above = KR3Z 8592 B

There is no direct correlation with the letters on base/callouts in the catalog illustrations with the service part number. Sometimes they match sometimes they don't.

I had a similar issue with a rear shock. I ordered online by part number, and they called me to verify I in fact wanted the shock, and not whatever part the descriptor said it was.

Your results may vary though. Ford Parts is very clunky and un-intuitive.
