I have a hellion sleeper kit with nitto 305 drag radials on my auto 19 and as long as it's over 50 degrees, the car won't really spin from 40mph+. I'd guess it's making 750 wheel. It trapped 140.

Since you don't take it to the track, and are generally potentially racing or getting on it at lower speeds on the street, unless you get some serious tire, a high powered Whipple or TT kit will simply overwhelm and spin your tires on the street. You might have better luck with a low boost system for the street.

If you do decide on a high powered system, keep in mind that a taller tire is better for straight line traction than a wider tire. A tall, wide tire, would be ideal. The larger diameter tire means more surface area on the street (the arc of the tire is flatter).
that would be true if the tires are less aired (more flat), but round is round and theoretically a circle touching a straight line is only touching at one point regardless of the size of the circle. Width of tire has more of those "one points" than a narrow tire.

Hello.

Just wanted to add that we have many turbo options to meet your expectations. We have a twin 55 mm option that will spool almost instantly if that type of throttle response is desired. With a boost controller option, you can set the boost curve to any type you would like. For instance, if you have the 55 units, they can be set to hit hard, lighting up right off throttle. If you want to control traction and slow the boost, you simply reach over and change the setting with the touch of a button and the boost can be changed to come on more slowly, all done without changing pulleys/belts etc.

Touching on the compound boost conversation, we have a compound boost setup for the 03/04 Cobra now, as well as our new kit for the Hellcat/Demon/Redeye. We used to make a kit for the previous GT 500 that was compound and it works well. You will always make more power turbo only, but the options/technology today make being an enthusiast so much fun!

Team Hellion
Quick question if I would do a hellion twin twin turbo on a 2016 mustang GT and mt-82 and would decide to 6r80 swap later would I need to change something in the kit to make that work or would I just need to do a 6r80 swap and leave kit as it is

Hey doccoch, I was where you are now. I have a 19 Bullitt as well.

This is my third Mustang, each one of them having been boosted at some point in my ownership.

But, as they say, you don't own a Mustang, a Mustang Owns you.

Anyway, the 91 Foxbody was Vortech Charged back in the day, there weren't too many options for PD Blowers back then as I recall. Probably pushed 350whp at the most. It was fast <then> considering the technology of the time.

My 09 Bullitt had the M90 along with a few other enhancements to make it breathe, headers, cams, full exhaust yada yada - 471WHP. Loved the instant boost it provided and yea it's fun in traffic blasting by folks on demand without hesitation even in overdrive.

This time around I opted for the Hellion Kit, and although I haven't had a chance to drive it yet, I'm sure it will be a freaking blast.

You can't go wrong either route with these cars for sure, any one of them will get you around 700whp which I imagine is more than enough.

BUT..... I know myself well enough to know I'll want more..... and more.... and whilst each flavor can get you <MORE>, the Turbo System seemed the best choice overall for getting there. At some point you'll have to update the block, tranny, half shafts, etc.... for big power so I figure with the adjustable nature of the twin set up I'm one and done with it.

Hello. No change needed, the system fits with both transmissions. Just let us know at time of purchase and we can make sure you have everything you need.

Not in a tire. In case you haven't noticed, the tread patch is smashed and flat where it contacts the road. Wider helps, sure, but so does taller (tread patch is longer from front to back).

I’ve had both a supercharger and then a turbo on my fox body and the turbo was by far the biggest power adder. I loved how easily you could adjust the power of the turbo system and the sound I have a Hellion twin kit ordered for my 15 and I plan on doing some good before and after pic/videos for everyone interested in fast convertible turbo mustangs!

exactly -when it's more "smashed and flat". in that case you are right for sure
