I got to see iconic silver on a gt500 in person today. Im not a silver guy but iconic looked really good on the 500. It has a smoke like hue to it giving it grey undertones.

I have Iconic silver on my 2020 superduty. its a shade or two darker than Ingot was. Here it is in the sun.

It’s a sick “color” if a greyscale can be a color. I love it.

That silver is the best looking color offered for the 2020 GT500, bar none. Congrats on making the best choice possible!

Silver was my second choice to Ford Performance Blue, both sight unseen. I finally saw silver in person at the Track Attack, and to me FPB still is the winner. My top two colors are FPB with white stripes, then silver with white stripes.

I will say, you cant fo wrong with either. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Congratulations on #2 :sunglasses:

Suppose a guy wanted to get some ford performance blue powder coat, where would that guy go?

After picking my GT500 up today and previously owning GT350 I disagree. I drove 450 miles home and it was amazing. Didn't go over 4k RPM except once (in about a mile long tunnel. Had to hear the roar). The power is instant on the GT500 where as the GT350 had to be revved out it felt like. Great for track but not so much for street in my opinion.

The GT500 handles just as well as the GT350 in my brief drive. Granted I haven't tracked either but just road feel is what I am basing it on.
You were driving your GT350 wrong.
The part of the fun of a 8250 redline is keeping RPMs high... and yes you can do it on the street very easy, unless your speed limits are 25 mph.

I'm glad you like your GT500 though.
In my opinion you took a step down in looks and in driving experience. To each their own.

Which keys do you go for more?
You know, it's surprisingly about the same. Perhaps after the honeymoon with the 500 starting to swing more towards the 350, especially with the windows down- I just really enjoy the sound of the FPC and keeping engaged with the manual.

I have about 1700 miles on the 500 since early July and 11K on the 2016 350. My wife thought there would be a clear victor with which would get more of my time, but so far hasn't played out that way so far... :)

We can tell you are biased. I drove the GT350 and clearly know that it can drive at high RPM... Looks are subjective but a step down? Keep being biased and go back to the GT350 section.

Who is we??

the guy even said - in my opinion.

I’m not going to call it a step down but it is completely different. I sold my R, bought a cftp, sold the CFTP and I bought another R. I felt a little bored right away but it was fast. Getting back in the R was like coming home :)

If you can't tell he is biased then thats on you. I loved my gt350. Was nervous selling it to get the 500 as I didn't know how I would like the DCT. Don't regret it. You are first person I have heard that sold the gt500 to go to a gt350.
No one can say the gt500 is a step down from a gt350. The most you could say is a lateral move depending on driving style or type of track you go to.

Sometimes I can dig a woman that is sexy, lean, and ready for duty. And sometimes I prefer a house wrecking booty. It's all good and it makes no sense to impart a subjective view onto anyone else other than yourself. I ****ing loved my GT350 and thought it was a fantastic car. And now I'm enjoying the heck out the fine ass brick shithouse of a GT500 that could snap me in two if she so chose. No matter what you like, enjoy it while you can as the love affair doesn't last for ever.

If by biased, you mean he doesn’t agree with you then, yes. I can tell. The fact that he said, “IMO”, clued me in.
You seem mightily offended that someone has their own opinion or that someone can enjoy their 350 more than a 500.
