Viking gives some base settings for starting out, but I’d like to hear from some actual user’s experience. Maybe what you started with, and the range you’re in now.
Thanks

I am running Viking Crusaders. Currently running 12/12 on mine but had some slight wheel hop @ around 850 hp or so.

Running BMR drag springs, BMR chassis lockout, Viking Crusaders and Mickey Thompson Street Rs.

It is really going to depend on your HP levels, tires, track etc. You will need to take your car to the track you run at and make some passes and see what works for you while using the Viking base settings as a starting point.

Thank you. Our track opens this weekend. I hope to get plenty of pass’s in.

I see it says you have a 2022 GT? If you are running a stock engine or anything close you do not need crazy expensive shocks. Just a decent set of tires and you should hook right up.

I bought this to be a dedicated bracket car at my local track. Won’t be driven on the street ever…..it currently has BMR drag springs, billet vertical links, billet camber arms, Kelltrac IRS kit and Vikings…..along with Weld Wheels and M/T ET Street R 305/45R17’s. It’s also getting Kooks headers and a E85 tune.😂….I know, a bit much…..it’s been a fun project so far.

We run Vikings on most of our shop builds, even ran Viking shocks on our 2017 GT with Air Ride.

Settings really come down to track conditions, tire and full setup. Typically recommend going with the basic settings and make adjustments from there. Then once you get it dialed in for the track you can keep the specs for street too or some guys have street specs and track specs.

If you don't have them hit me up and I can get a set going for you, keep them in stock as well.

there reall aren't settings updates, you have to adjust based on track conditions, suspension, tire, etc.c.

we video our launches and make adjustamnets from there

I meant updates from the OP on what setting were working for them or anybody else that’s been having success. obviously my starting point was wrong so i was hoping for a better start point next time at the track.

well, thats the rub, every car every track is different, typically you start over with base settings, or , if your going to same track you normally do with consistent prep, you should get a good handle on that particular track

it's always a bit of a process til you really get to know your car

I don't mean to derail the topic but I'm pretty sure you guys are one of, if not the only shop to run airlift on an S550 drag car. Did you guys immediately upgrade to the viking rears or did you have some success with the airlift rear shocks? Only asking because I have airlift on my TT car and wonder if it's worth attempting to dial in or if I should spend the extra cash and just go viking rears with an upgraded shock mount.

We always go straight to the Viking shocks to get more control with our airlift packages

we have cars going in the sevens now with them

All the models to my personal challenger we have the air lift on and we’re running the Vikings there as well

easier said than done when the local track is only open for test and tune one night for 5 hours every other weekend so runs are limited and frustrating when factory shocks were figured out to get multiple 1.65-1.66s and you spend $600 to go 1.7s
