Kelly from BMR previously answered this question for me. His response is below:What are u guys setting ur adjustable shocks at for the drag strip and racing on the street . What is a good rule of thumb to adjust correctly compression and rebound
the rule of thumb with this car is:
If it spins on the initial hit, soften uf the compression
If it spins 5+ft out....stiffen up the R.
I typically recommend starting at 5C/9R for track....and 3C/5R for street.
Basically, the way to look at it is - correct the reaction causing the spin. If it spins on the hit, right away, the compression stiffness needs work. Soften up to hook better, stiffen up if track is on kill to make the car go faster. If the car bounces and unloads the tires...it is because the car is rebounding from the squat too quickly, so stiffening up the R will control that better to keep the force to the tire more consistent.
