Love my V6. First time ever having a car with power. Every time I turn the engine on it puts a smile on my face. Putting it into sport mode is still even a bit overwhelming... it's quick! And I can't help but turn back a few times after parking...

Question, does the V6 with A/T have a snow/ice mode ? I know the premium Ecoboost/GT have it but I wasn't sure if the V6 has it as well.

Quick answer: No

Guess: I think in the future we could find a way to activate it. But we will have to wait sonetime to know if it's possible.

that's interesting.
think it could be done by programming a tune ?
there'd have to be an on-the-go on/off switch.
makes me wonder if someone will program a Modes settings for the V6 , and why not.

I'm not familiar with US cars but most of EU cars accept additional functions just by installing the required parts plus in some cases on board software activation. For instance, I made some upgrades this way on a Bmw X5 and LD Discovery.

My point is.... Why would Ford spend designing different solutions? Better is to have one and activate / desactivate options based on requirements.

We will see if we are lucky with the V6..... I'm almost sure that with EB and GT is possible.

I'd love to see more pics of what you all are doing to your cars.. I'm getting a V6 so it's cool to get ideas and see the types of things you're doing to personalize your cars

Ok guys I'm going down to the dealership to order my 15 Mustang V6 with 051 A okg, spoiler delete and Auto Trans in Magnetic Gray Metallic!! I know it will take about 12 weeks which is fine for me so I can save more money but I want the car the way I want it as much as possible. I was going to go next month but I dont want to get the car when it's into Spring, I'd rather get it while it's somewhat cold out as their May be better incentives. I got a but under X plan and I'll be leasing to buy for 3 years. Also got a 5 year 75k bumper to Bumper warranty for a smudge above cost. Really excited , I'm like a kid again! My wife even notices it!! Soooo grateful she's incredibly supportive of this dream of mine and happy a baby's eat will fit in back for the future :)

Nice! This is how I felt too. My wife was very supportive, even though she doesn't like the car. I've been completely obsessed with this car for 7 months now... one of which I've been behind the wheel. I still can't get enough of it. I've taken over 200 photos of this car because it is so magnificent! You're going to love it!

Stam, I just got a customized axle back exhaust installed on it today. I will be uploading video soon. Congrats on your car man! If it's automatic your wife will love it too! I got an auto because mine is going to be an everyday driver plus if my girl wanted to drive she can, she loves the car!

Thanks, she will be driving it a lot as we need to park our Fusion for a few months to get the mileage down lol. Can't wait to see/hear the exhaust! You going to do any visual mods? Interior? Exterior? I plan on doing stripes, new grille and possibly a Roush spoiler , ultimately inside Id want to add deep red leather seats/heated .

Update, it's OFFICIAL! My "Maggie" is ordered and I got a really great deal! Should be here by end of March, early April which is great as I want the car when the weather gets warmer anyway, I've waited 7 years for this car, a few more months is nothing!!

I've been an enthusiast for 40 years, and have driven everything from the '72 Corvette 454 that I had right out of college to the track-modded '97 Miata that I recently traded for my 2014 V6.

For me, a V6 is the "right" number of cylinders. The perfect balance of weight (for handling) and potential performance, especially with modern engine technology. I will admit that I may have been scarred by driving around with that huge chunk of inert LS5 iron over the front wheels of my '72. I mean, 270 HP out of 7.4 liters? Get the f outta here!

I'm not going to be in the market for a new Mustang for a while, but if Ford continues down this path, I'm going to have to see what else is out there.

There is a lot of "talk" that the v6 is on the way out. But what truly substantiates that? Just because it was a late entry into the line up? Simply because Ford isn't offering the same goodies as the other two engines? In the end I think it'll come down to numbers. How many v6 engines did they sell in the US vs. Eco engines.
