Going ahead and replacing the fans due to passenger side not working properly.
Already did a diagnosis and it is the actual fan.
So question,
Went ahead and purchased this fan from AM. Looks to be the closest to oem quality and build. It says without controller which I don't know exactly what that means.
Do I have to switch over anything from the oem fan or just plug it in and go?

Should be Plug-n-play.

"Without controller" means the fans can be wired or hooked up based on any type of user installed switch/relay/temp control system OR the user can use the existing vehicle "controller" that will spin the fans up per the PCM logic. If the fan had its own controller it's usually wired into the fan circuit and the user would be reliant on that controller logic OR would have to cut the controller out and do splice work to get it to work with a vehicle controller.

One note:
If the harness connectors on the replacement fan are not the same as the vehicle by not being 100% direct plug-n-play and you need to splice in new connectors on the fan, just make sure you do it proper based on wiring (+) and (-) so the fans are rotating in the proper direction.

Biggest thing to look for when buying ANY electric fans is the total CFM (CFM = Cubic Feet per Minute). The higher the CFM rate the more air pulled through and flowing over the A/C condenser core and through to the radiator core.

I say "pull through" in this instance because the S550 fan is a "pull through" design and any such fan will always be mounted on the back (engine bay side) of the radiator and pulls air through the core(s). A "push" design will be a fan that is mounted onto the front of the A/C condensor (OR directly to the radiator if an A/C condenser does not exist) and blows or pushes air through the core(s).
