Take-Off Seat Covers (Ceramic Cloth) on Ebay for Base, EB. or GT 2015 Mustangs? If your talking about genuine OEM Interior Covers, they are not slip off Fabric Seat covers that can simply be installed. Since the Mid 90`s, all Cloth fabric Seat Coverings are glued/bonded directly to the Foam Seat Material. If you suffer a cigarette burn hole or a tear, you need to replace the entire Seat Cushion!

Not so. Seat covers are all glued so that they adhere to the basic shape of the seats but its not where removal is impossible.

I beg to argue the point but back in 1995 when I needed to replace the rear seat cushion of my 1994 Mustang Convertible, I went to a Soft Trim Speciality Shop that did nothing but Convertible Top, Headliner, Reupholstery, Carpet Replacement, etc and they informed me that it was a (1) piece replacement item back then and impossible to separate the fabric covering from the foam seat cushion as it was fused/bonded/glued together. I then went to my Ford Dealer`s Parts Department and ordered the entire rear seat cushion due to the cigarette burn hole in the original. Not sure how the newer seats are upholstered but that was the way they were made in 1994. Been there, done that.
PS: Ford did not have a replacement Part# simply for the Fabric Seat Cover, just the entire upholstered Seat Cushion.

I spent a lot of time looking at the V6 when I was in Dearborn, MI, at the Mustang Memories show. I thought it was a very solid car and would make an excellent platform for someone who wanted a "no frills" Mustang. Even without some of the driver technologies on the other models, I really liked the way the cloth interior looked, and the addition of the option with the 18" foundry wheels (which includes a spoiler), made it a solid car.

I posted photos of it in the competition orange and interior thread
Nice pictures, thanks!

I wanted the 051A option all along. Now, seeing your pictures, I am sure of it. That is if I indeed decide to buy a V6.

I agree, Done Deal with the 2015 Mustang V6 Convertible and adding the 051A Package. I can live with the useless LED Fog Lamps, the Power Drivers Seat that will seldom be adjusted. Those 18`` Foundry Wheels and Tires is worth the entire $995 cost IMO. My only reservation is that it includes the hideous "Blade Spoiler" which I hate! If the Car was accidentally manufactured with it and the Spoiler Delete Option # 13D was not applied, I`d refuse delivery, period. I`d make sure by checking the DORA constantly that the Spoiler Delete was applied during the waiting process.

Is anyone in here talking about a 1994 Mustang besides you??

2010 to 2014 is what was being discussed and 2010 to 2014 don't have those problems.

The issue is (not) a discussion of the 1994 Mustang but simply a reply to the matter of how cloth fabric is glued and laminated to the foam seat cushions and not simply slipped on like Seat Covers, thats all.

The video shows that while there are attachments between the cloth seat covering and the frame, it is not glued. The seat architecture changed with the introduction of the S197 Mustangs back in 2005. I would expect similar experiences with the new cars. For any V6 fans that wish a change in their seat coverings, it should be manageable. Having said that, I really do like the cloth seat coverings in the V6 models, even a bit more than the base GT cloth.

I agree but I wish Ford had at the very least made another Color option available other then Ebony Black! Why "Stone" was eliminated is puzzling?

Probably the wrong Thread to ask this question (but) if Retail 2015 Mustang Fastback/Coupe Orders are scheduled for Build beginning in late Sept with Convertible`s being Built beginning a month later in late Oct, when the hell can legitimate Convertible Orders be placed in the Unscheduled Order Bank? I mean those that come back (clean) in DORA with prices, not error messages about holding for JOB 2, minus pricing.

I'm always on the lookout for new videos and I've never seen this one. It features Magnetic, Ingot, and Triple Yellow 2015's being driven on a road course. Really cool video:

Note the V6 mustangs in the video.

The v6 sounds great, pretty throaty exhaust note. The ecoboost sounded nice in person, doesnt sound as throaty, but carries a nice sporty note. 5.0L sounds great ofcourse.

I cant say much about the driving impressions of the cars, but obviously the lighter vehicles were a dream on that course. The 5.0L needed more space to show its true beauty, but thats pretty obvious. The look is incredible, and paired with the driving characteristics makes a great package.

From what I personally gathered, if your on a budget, the base v6 with manual transmission had a huge fun factor and would probably be your best bet.
This (the post quoted above) is from one of the drivers participating in the event, first hand experience.

Cool. It's nice to hear first hand impressions of the cars. I'm very interested in the exhaust notes of the v6 and EB.

I read that thread when it was first started, but did not go back later to see what others had to say. I probably would have never seen the posts from lavers10, so thanks for posting this here.

ETA: in this video it really struck me how little wheel gap there is on the S-550. It looks great.

Another first hand account from the same thread Horse posted about above.

It was a training for dealership employees in the new Mustang, F150 and Expedition. Sadly, I didn't get to ride in one.

The V6 is pretty throaty. The Ecoboost has a smoother sound, but under load you can hear a hint of turbo swoosh.
That's two people describing the v6 as "throaty". The v6 already had a nice sound to it, but I wonder if Ford did something to change it. I want a nice throaty sound, so it's encouraging to me.

From the pictures I've seen, the exhaust piping before the mufflers is straight instead of having a huge curve to go over the rear axle. I'm sure that would change the sound a bit. Correct me if I'm wrong.

They curve not up and over an axle but rather around the rear control arms. Not quite a straight shot just ahead of the mufflers. Photo is here.

Tony, you always seem to comes through with info and good pictures. Thanks again. :clap2:

I don't know anything about exhaust systems and tuning, so I don't know how the exhaust changes from the SRA to IRS might affect the exhaust note, but I am very anxious to hear the v6 and EB in person.
