Any problems with cooling and front license plate?

Hey y'all. I need to mount my license plate on the front of my car since I got a ticket for no front plates. I decided to zip tie the plate to the bottom grille on a 2022 Mustang GT. I was going to get one of those sto n sho plate mounts, but honestly, I dont mind how it looks zip tied. My question is that will having the plate block most of the bottom grille affect cooling? Or does the radiator mostly get cooled from the top grille? Used to have an NA miata that would run terrible if there was a plate blocking the front grille, so just curious if the s550 lower grille being blocked is a issue. Thanks in advance for help.

If you look close at my car the plate is under the front spoiler with an electrical retractile plate mount, and it comes up with just the push of a button. If you get pulled over just hit the button. It was only a $100.00 for the mount.

I put mine where my tow hook goes and there is no problem with cooling.

Depends on where OP lives. The last town I lived in the dickhead cop would wait at the only intersection out of town just to continually ticket people for stuff like this. My father in law still lives there and he mentioned they actually had a problem with this deputy giving out too many tickets and clogging the court up. Now he only sits there once a week instead of every day.

Sometimes it’s just easier to fix it and move on with life.

I used radiator fan hold downs and put off to the side in the upper grill. Never runs hot even in summer with ac on. I live in the Socal desert.

Bummer the officer chose to give you a ticket for no front plate. Personally, I don't run with a front plate on my current or past Mustangs and figure that if I'm stopped I can explain that putting a front plate on my car is like putting a booger on the Mona Lisa! Seriously, if I'm stopped, I'll try to talk my way out of it then if given a ticket anyway I'll get one of those under the front-end mounts that allows me to slide the plate on and off instead of dealing with the plate blocking the grill. And while I haven't received a no front plate citation, I do get a little "well here we go" when I pass a smaller-town officer.

Down Under in Australia, we use thin registration (license) plates and mount the plate in the OEM recommended location which does not detract from the front end appeal of the S550 Mustang as identified in the attached pic.

I got pulled over two Fridays in a row and finally got a Sto N Sho mount for mine.

My plate mount is electric, retractable. It is controlled with a fob from inside the car. The unit cost $100.00
