OPG and sprocket already done. Also have the half shafts, BMR lockout, and Eiback Pro kit installed. Been holding off on the Whipple install until some miles but at 1974 miles and no issues(knock on wood) getting too impatient.

So we're off to the races....

Continuing on... Just some pics at different stages of the process.

Draining the anti-freeze. Only about 1.3 gals comes out but no flooding when the heater hoses are disconnected.

coolant plumbing disconnect.....

Air box on it's way out....

20180929_110216.jpg

Air box gone. Attacking the intake connections...

20180929_111638.jpg

Once intake is unbolted there are a couple of connections in the back that have to be removed. The intake is lifted up and moved forward.

Intake is gone. Gas in the fuel rail goes everywhere on removal.

20180929_120844.jpg

Spark plug replacement. Gapped 0.028" and some anti-seize.

20180929_133548.jpg

At the turning point of original parts removal complete. Now on to the install....

Got some more done but need to call it a night. Back at again tomorrow.

Did find that although I thought I had done a good inventory I am missing an o-ring. I am going to to try using the OE o-ring as it is on the coolant side it is easy to get to. Plus it still has solid interference fit. To now other than that going smooth. Instructions need a revision and should include actual part numbers of items to install.

Drivers side heater hose modification. Cut the factory hose and use shrink clamps to splice in new hose.

Splice complete....

20180929_170624.jpg

Anti-chafe weave covering on the whole hose.

Mod completed.

More tomorrow. Hopefully the SC will be mounted.

Progress continues....

Coolant tank overflow hose

Have to remove 1" of hose for clearance

Air Charge Temp interface cable goes to left side IMRC connect. It is the one that is in the middle of the firewall.

Ground connection for SC coolant pump relay circuit

20180930_094147.jpg

Use the ABS circuit to energize the relay. I drilled a 3/32 hole on the fuse panel to secure the wire.
The relay is mounted under a harness connector.

Harness connector back in place. Pump inline fuse is secure to an AC hose.

Pulley bracket is easier to install by putting tape of the screw heads to keep them and the spacers from falling out.

Adjustable idler

Installation manual references a plastic pulley. I had a metal one from the factory. I did use in the one that came in the kit.

Clearance to AC hose. You need to move it over a some. I my case not much...

Did you have any issues woth the tensioner pulley contacting the ac compressor clutch?

Not that I noticed but will take a look. I don't have the belt on it yet.

Is there interference with belt on or off? Also I have not gotten to this point yet but am thinking moving the adjustable idler will move the position of the tensioner.
