If that's the case, then the Mach1 will MSRP close to or more than the GT350. I somehow doubt they will have 2 cars pretty much in the same ballpark.

I imagine that they will try to slot the Mach1 above the GT but still below the Shelby. in which case, I really really doubt they will be able to drop in that kinda engine in a 40k car. If they can, it will be the deal of the century.

I do agree with Twin Turbo in that the Mach1 will likely have a variant of this engine but not quite all the high end parts.

I'm sure they would detune it to keep the hierarchy intact. Detuning might also be necessary for Ford to give it a factory warranty.

Yeah, I'm hoping the mach1 will have a cross-plane crank 5.2L in some form or another.

That's a beautiful dream, but Ford is most likely keeping the FPC exclusive to the GT350.

A production version of that engine would be nowhere near that power level or equipment.

500hp/410 tq is about as stout as you could expect

I agree it would not make 580 hp but I bet it would not be very hard to make 540-550 horsepower and 430-440 torque. Variable valve timing is a wonderful thing in that you can meet emissions and make power.

The CJ intake and CAI won't pass CA emissions as they are. Obviously Ford could get a CARB EO.

The Cams are going to be an issue as well. Plus if the entire Coyote family is going DI for 2018, that's going to change things as well.

Do I think we'll see a production 5.2 CPC? I personally think yes..but it won't look like this.
