I'm an OG that doesn't track or auto cross. I use my GT350 for driving around country roads for pleasure, albeit a bit spirited from time to time. Overall I'm happy with the handling and at almost 3000 miles into ownership, the only complaint I have is the tramlining that creeps in from time to time on less than ideal roads. It'd be greatly appreciated to hear recommendations for alignment settings to help minimize it.

The answer for me was simple .......... tires. I changed out the cup 2's and put on 4s's ......... at least 98% of tramlining is gone plus better grip in the rain. Definitely a no-loose situation. Every positive thing that has been said about the 4s's is true ......... ;-)

I've heard the Steeda G-Trac brace helps with it. I haven't used it personally but there are some threads on it (including some debate).

Use the Ford manual recommended alignment + Steeda G brace and be done with it.

I took the factory toe out - out of my front alignment and put just a hair of toe in. Seemed to help slightly but not huge -did it in part to lessen wear on inside tie shoulder. I have the brace on my car but didn't notice much difference with it with respect to tramlining. It was on it when I bought it but the bolts were not tight so maybe my simply tightening the bolts is not a good test.

The best effect I've had on tramlining is to simply set the steering on the soft setting for everyday driving which does reduce the kickback through the steering wheel some and lessen the effects of tramlining.

1/16 toe-in up front, minimal camber, softer sidewall tires (Continental variety typically are)

This would be my recommendation as well. The less the negative camber, the less the tramlining. I've got the Steeda cross brace and it changes the feel of the car to a surprising extent, and I'd install it again just for that, but it didn't affect the tramlining very much if at all.

I'm running a set of ContiForceContact's (from Tire Rack's clearance last year) just now and they're fantastic. They hardly tramline at all in the dry, but the tramlining comes back in spades if the road's wet.

Hi fellas, I’ll be buying a 2019 GT. I want the PP2 option as I plan to autocross and run HPDE within the NASA circuits. I am very concerned about tramlining as it will drive me crazy. I also have a 16 year old son who will drive the GT. For my son, tramlining becomes a safety issue. Before purchasing the PP2 option I want to be 100% certain I can eliminate the tramlining with a daily-driver set of wheels and tires, and/or alignment adjustments. Can anyone confirm for me that I can buy the PP2 option and new tires and an alignment and eliminate tramlining? If not possible, I’ll buy the PP1 option. Thanks for your inputs! I’ve called Ford and neither the corporate office nor my local service department can give me confident answer! -John

I'm running Michelin AS/3 all-season's on my GT350 and there's no tramlining. Same car, same alignment, with new Michelin PSC2's and it's a battle to see who decides which lane I'm going to be in - sometimes it's me and sometimes it's the tires.

PP1s don't tramline. Buy PP1 wheels and tires for your PP2 for the street, or buy track tires for your PP1.

Tires. That's the key. My R brand new wanted to grab every little road crevice and take me in 50 directions. I swapped out my Cup 2's for Cooper Zeons and Nitto G2's and tramlining is gone. Also when I spoke to a Steeda tech, he said their G-trac brace was not going to remove tramlining. FWIW.

Such a downgrade in performance.
