Thanks, I thought it might have been the Workshop Manual, so it's good to have another source.

Looks like Ford did a wiring diagram book but it costs about £75 delivered from the US from eBay.

According to this the sensor is wired directly into the RCM.

I also have the pin tests if you have a fault code to work from

I've since realised that the front right crash sensor is actually on the front of the car and wires in under the light but the wiring is the same colour and wires into the same loom as the bonnet actuator.

I've already pulled all the connectors and the fuse box (in the engine bay) out and have access to the entire wiring loom from the passenger side door actuator to the RCM.

Joking aside, what was the fix ?
Unfortunately my answer is going to be as vague as everyone else's. It was a loose wire/connector somewhere on the fuse panel in the footwell. I pulled out all the connectors, gave them the magic blow :giggle: and connected them back up.

Can't beat a good "pull it out, blow it, plug it back in" or "switch it off & on again" :giggle:

Passed the MOT

Although 15 miles into a 100 mile trip it came back on. Also just found out it also knocks out the reversing camera :frown:

great news on MOT but wtf on the other news. Damn thats bad luck but you got a year to figure it out. Wonder what is shared between the back up camera and the airbag circuit... Maybe a can of air duster and properly blast out that footwell circuit box?

That’s odd, I still haven’t had my electrical problem sorted, no one seems capable :( The odd thing is, just before it lost all power, I reversed into a space and my camera stopped working! Ford electrics are shite :(

So after I drove my 100 miles, a few days after I pulled out the fusebox connectors in the footwell and nothing happened. I then left to drive home 5 days later and the light was out and has stayed out for the passed 4 weeks.

1 thing I have noticed is, when the temps outside are 35'c+, the reverse camera doesn't like to work but there's no airbag light. This seems to be a known problem, just not one we would encounter too often 😂
