Pad area matters, so larger pads are better. The more even pressure across a large pad reduces taper wear. If they didn't work, they wouldn't be used across the board in racing.

As far as bleeders go, I'm a fan of the normal type. These are things to carry as spares. Always use a torque wrench to tighten them to avoid damaging the taper. Usually bleeders are damaged from over-torquing. If you have any questions about a bleeder, replace it.

I thought that you were talking about racing, that is time trial and didn’t saw any lap times…
Things break on a race track but a couple of people having bleeders issues is far from enough to point the finger at the calipers
And btw, average race calipers temperature is between 400 to 600, not 1200* as you stated
Anyhow, i don’t want to start an argument with you

I've been racing for a while now, and I don't think I've ever heard of someone replacing their calipers specifically to deal with heat. Maybe I'm not racing with people as fast as yours, but most people on my end replace calipers for weight savings. To be fair, if you are driving hard enough to cause the PP Brembos to fail because of heat, then that's on you. If you're that fast then you should have changed your entire brake system a long time ago. Anyways, I have heard of bleeders failing from time to time, but this is more than probably because of over tightening or under tightening. :)

It's not the piston count that really matters, it's everything else.
On the design side, the accommodation and effective use of larger discs and pads is achieved through the use of more pistons on larger calipers. There is no one single overriding part which makes a system, it's about how all the spices in the soup mix.

I still run my racecar on OEM brembo kit
Note. The base 4piston is bad ESPECIALLY because the reverse rotor technology. (i think i read the latest model fixed that with standard inner vains)

I have measured temps for calipers with standard oem rotors and girodisc rotors.
I have run without deflector ,with oem deflector, with orange hoses and now with vorshlag deflector.
I run endless Fluid dot4.

I had actually brakes not heating enough. So in cold winter i tape the airhoses intakes.

The biggest issue i have with my system is the HARD PEDAL(hard pedal no brake =icemode) i get in specific corners.
I will replace the vacuum pump to see if that can fix the known mustang issue.

I run with the plug without the airbox unplugged. This remove the the nannies but also shift on the rear the bias a little. It helps

The pads also are important to avoid.abs issues. A too aggressive compound on regular tires will overwhelm grip and create issue with braking.

To summarize
This system is ok unless.you start to do endourance or long racing.
The 4 piston is not ok mainly due to reverse rotors.

What are you going to be using them for? Track, Autocross, or just spirited back roads driving?
I've always went with Power Stop for a simple replacement. The cross drilled and slotted rotors with stock brake pads helped my F150 tow rig's all around braking performance.

Cross drilled rotors are for show only and have no place on a race track and I fail to understand how they could have improved the braking on your truck since the end result is less contact/friction areas

You obviously have never been around actual race cars...

Here's basically a summary of the rotor tech of EVERY car racing at LeMans last month.
