I would think twice before magnaflows guys. Listening to past gen stangs I always thought magnas sounded way worse than flows or borlas. Check out as many sound clips as possible

I agree^^^Magnaflow are DRONE city.

The speaker on my iPad I'm sure is about the worst way to tell, but in all the you-tubing I've done listening to different exhausts on the 2011 and up mustangs I really like the Kooks systems, especially the ones that start all the way up from the LT headers. For those who know better than I, please feel free to direct me towards other/better systems.

Personally I would wait till I heard one in person. I wouldn't take a cell phone camera audio as the perfect audio source. No doubt aftermarket will have some great options but to be "convinced" based on a cell phone vid of a preproduction car might be a bit extreme at this stage.

I agree. Like the people convincing themselves they don't like the look of the car based on a photo, it's too narrow minded to convince yourself on the sound based on video. But, at some point most people will upgrade their exhaust anyway as it's the most modded part of the Mustang IMO.

Magnaflows
Borla.

Magnaflows all day. That will be my first mod. I'll probably have them before the car...
You mean Magnadrone. Won't e available before the car.

Exactly. Plus their 'stainless' steel starts to rust in less than a year. I had their Street catback on my 2011 and it had surface rust in 6 months, rusted welds in a year. Happy to be rid of it.

Unless things changed the Magnaflows on my 04 Mach 1 were perfect, for me.

Funny, I have mangnaflows and I have zero drone. I get compliments all the time too, on how deep and throaty the car sounds...

And they definitely aren't cheap

w/o a doubt in my mind the best sounding exhaust for these dohc motors including the shelby's is the FULL stainless works pack....headers -> x pipe -> axlebacks...sounds like a frigging nuclear bomb siren at wot when u hear it in person

I heard it in person at the Charlotte event and when he got on it the car sounded good for stock. The sound wasn't picked up properly in that video. It all depends on what kind of sound you're looking for. Remember Ford has to make it 50 state compliant so they can only go so loud.

Bonestock, things have changed. A lot of people complain about bad fitment and poor quality overall. Also just my opinion but they are the worst sounding AM exhausts

It's been a while since I played the game (like 5yrs), but my Cobra I thought sounded simply fantastic with an offroad H and 2 chamber flows (Not sure if those are 40 series or not). I'm pretty sure the dynamics of the Coyote compared to the 4.6 DOHC are relatively the same (specifically referring to the crank angle) other than the extra displacement and obviously cams. So I'd assume the results would be similar. I'm sure I'll be corrected ASAP if I'm wrong.
My buddies 98 (In car), has the same exhaust I had but his blower is WAY bigger than mine.

The firing order in the Coyote is different than all previous Ford V8 engines, instead going all the way back to the Ford flathead engine. That coupled with the 11:1 compression ratio has completely changed how the engine sounds. The Coyote has a bad tendency to rasp which people incorrectly blame on 'X' pipes but is actually caused by the lack of catalytic converters and/or straight through mufflers. Keeping the classic rumble is very difficult. My setup took nearly 3 years to perfect. I'd post video but I'm on my phone.

Definitely agree that the videos we've seen thus far car sounds tinny....hope the final product sounds better but either way the aftermarket will always satisfy ultimately.
