After getting a tune, do you lose the selectable drive mode function?

As long as the tune does not adjust the throttle input sensitivity ( throttle mapping) then you are fine! You need to ask your tuner that question.

I would figure they would tune in one of the modes, and just that mode is changed. Would love for someone to shed some more light on this.

This is a topic that I have wondered about, and a reason why I'm hesitant to get a tune.

If someone added a CAI, x pipe and exhaust, I assume you would assign the toggle switch to Performance and add the tune. However, wouldn't the other modes (if selected after the upload) cause the ECU to throw codes if changed to other driving modes because the other modes do not take into account for the addition of the mods????

Curious for a real answer from the tuners.

The drive modes don't actually change any of the normal tuning. They tweak other things (throttle position versus input, shift feel etc) but actual engine tuning isn't affected. They do still function, but if your tuner uses throttle position versus input to make it feel more responsive, you won't feel as much difference going to sport and feel more difference going to normal.

Pretty much what I figured as well. I'm waiting on the nGauge for tuning so have no way to log, but when I do get it I'm going to log the stock tune in various driving modes to see what parameters are actually changed. When I do I'll post up.
