Looking to get a 19 gt 10r80 tuned.....I don't drag race but typical runs are 80 to the electric limiter for extended periods of time.....I've blown up several supercharged cars I've owned from the entended load of these longer type runs. Wasn't sure if there is a way to tune for this type of abuse...my local tuner said they typically do not tune for this type of driving. Not sure who to go through for this type of tuning...also it seems the factory shift points are set to protect against this too being it short shifts horribly from 6th to 7th...

Where the heck are you doing these 170mph runs in Massachusetts? Don't get popped by the staties.

There is tuning do be done to keep extended high speed runs safe, mainly lowering timing and making the fuel mixture richer to keep cylinder temps down. Just ask your tuner to give you a safer tune, which in turn means both of those.

Supercharged cars are terrible at this type of driving, as you certainly realized. They build way to much heat for extended runs, Terminator guys are notorious for melting their pistons on high speed runs. The N/A Coyote will be much better suited at this type of driving than your old cars.

PP1 doesn’t have a diff rad.

Not sure on PP2 (but I suspect not).

Pretty sure the Shelby’s and the Mach 1 have them.

You can make your own E85 (or E95) whatever you like.

Just where are you doing these runs and why have you blown up two cars doing so (and working on a 3d)?

Curious minds ya know...

Not sure what a 3d is...the blower cars wear making mid 600s and all failure wear in 5th gear pulls......I'm not an expert but the tuner told me it wasn't tuned for wide open 5th gear pulls.....the tko600s that were in both cars with 410s ran out of gear at around 130 in 4th....so used 5th and that's what happened......never had issues on the street being I could not drive fast enough....I would love to say where this is but I would like my enjoyment to continue....

3d = Third

So, just some long pulls out in the middle of nowhere. Got it.

First thing I thought, even the Interstates are hilly and have no long straight sections. Asking to get hurt or hurt someone else driving like that...

Work with a tuner who has experience tuning Mile cars. May be more than just the tune though, probably some mechanicals that need to be up to the task.

All performance packs have the upgraded radiator over the GT, same as in the GT350, Bullitt and the upcoming Machs
I thought he meant ‘diff radiator’ as in a diff radiator/ cooler, not as in a ‘different’ radiator :cwl: my bad :like:

I know about the bigger radiator :like:

It's sad with the stock tune it hits

Can completely understand that position on this type of driving but no other cars are around when this occurs....just me myself and I....
