Hey group. Can anyone tell me what adhesive is used or is best for the side vent? One of mine is very loose and instead of taking the chance with a dealer mishap, I'd much rather re-install myself with a good adhesive. Thanks

Looks to me like it's a double sided PSA foam tape. If you can remove a vent, check out the thickness of the existing adhesive - 3M makes tapes of various thickness which can be procured from McMaster Carr.

The 2016 I traded in for my 2017 both sides had a little gap but were not loose. I took some black silicone and filled the gaps and wiped it even and smooth and you could never tell. Looked perfect but as I said mine weren't actually loose, just a slight gap.

Tough to say. The oem tape doesn't hold that well. I will post some pics to show that only 5% of the tape on the vent is actually adhereing to the car.

Gorilla tape worked pretty well, but you need to use adhesion promoter no matter what. I would find the strongest black 3M tape you can. Or the outdoor use black gorilla tape
