This thread turned out great after all! Well, not for that $73 metal puck company.

That's a great pucking idea. Ok, sorry, could not resist.

Been using hockey pucks for years as suitable substitute for many things. Back in the elcheapo high school days used them for homemade body lift kits on trucks.

I keep a couple around for the hydraulic press as non-marring surface. Guess I did not think of cutting one yet for this.

Being in Canada and still playing hockey, I like this Puck Idea.
Take a skill saw, run it through done, no pucking this up :)

Gotta a few orange training pucks hidden somewhere in the garage, they are the heavier ones and should be better suited for lifting the car.

I made one of those from a block of aluminum the day after I brought my Shelby home, cost me 15 minutes of work. Then after the first session lifting the car, I decided jacking rails were the way to go.
10x better with the jacking rails.

ref 2nd picture frame showing the jacking point.

Looking at it from an engineers perspective, experience and other cars, I think the adapter pad is not entirely correctly made. IMHO, the pad should register on the recessed section and not straddle it. Maybe there is a sticker on the trunk lid, but the old sissor type had a fitting on top that accommodated that relief.

So, I strongly believe they need to redesign that adapter. I wouldn't give a dime for it until then.

What are the charging for that part. I bet I can do better!

Looking at it from a engineers view point, that part does not register correctly on the pinch weld. JMHO As seen in the 2d photo, the spacer is straddling the pinch weld relief and not indexing itself int the shorter section. This would also ensure lateral restraint of the spacer and jack on that locationI also don't like the tapered flange. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish there buy its not working for me.

Is it me or does the groove look too shallow in the eBay one versus the aluminum one? Does anyone have the measurement of the pinch weld?

The alloy one is the best to mimicking what the top of the Ford sissor jack has (see attached photo). Registers on the weld seam but does not load the slot.

Those questioning whether the car has hard jacking points at all should look closer to the underside of the plastic panel adjacent to the notch in the weld seam. There you will see a arrow head protrusion pointing to that location.

Unless you have four floor jacks, you can't use 4 of these adapters.
