My A10 GT seems like it skips gears way more readily in normal than in sport+ or track mode...like if I get on the gas hard, it may go 1-3-5 instead of running through each gear. At least from what I remember...I don't drive in normal mode much lol.

Normal doesn't skip gears when you get on it; only under light acceleration.

Of course WOT with the A10 is baller in the modes, but due to traffic and such that is not an option most of the time. What is also fun, for me, are 1/2 throttle starts in S+ in stop and go traffic up to 50-60 mph. Just love the sound and shifts, and the rev-matching downshifts as well. Awesome.

This is on thorough-fares (main roads), not in neighborhoods or subdivisions. I'm not "that guy" with my 'stang. lol

Good to know, but it’s silly I think. It’s like too many options. I mean you can drive in “D” and have the car in Sport +. So that’s why I’m saying other than than the paddle shifters why have S and the S+...
Because S on the shifter while in normal mode allows you to maintain “normal” suspension w/Magnaride but still have increased throttle response.

No magne ride here.
I should’ve gotten a manual too, one dealer had a lot of them however I found a better deal on an auto

I just keep mine in S+ and the steering in Sport. That’s my preference for every day driving. My gas pedal is just an on/off switch.

PP2 will make a significant difference in your low end torque and raises the redline.

S+ changes the throttle response and shift points and pressure. S just gives you manual control over shifting. Mine is a 2015 GT Premium w/6-speed manual. I believe Sport mode on the newer ones also changes the suspension and exhaust, if your car is so equipped.

Makes sense right there.

Taking the 19 PP1/A10 to the strip, Sport and Track mode are slower than normal mode, by about 0.010 seconds. Full throttle goes through all gears and keeps the motor in the sweet spot...for me sport doesn't match my driving style, although with active exhaust sport sounds a lot better in sport mode, at least to these old ears.

Traction issues? I have zero proof, but Sport and Drag with the quicker/harder shifts and throttle response seem to make it a little faster than in normal mode... to me at least. Spinning the tires too much obviously slows one down. Maybe it's all in my head? Nonetheless... still love it either way.

PP1 & PP2 have the same torque & the same gear ratio. The redline is the same on all 18-20 Mustangs regardless of package.
