Do you have PP1 with the lower gears? I wonder if that's the issue for me. I can get off the line in first with throttle work but as soon as it goes into second it lights them up like crazy and won't stop until I back off the throttle and let it settle down.
Lol I don't think I've ever hit a curb but I have to street park sometimes so the extra insurance against a curbed wheel is nice and lets me get as close as possible to the curb (i.e. as far out of the street as possible).
That said, I'd never considered just not making mistakes so I will apply...
Yeah the tread life has been shorter than I'd like (mainly due to the camber up front) but I'll definitely be getting another set of the Sottozeros for winter. They really are surprisingly sporty. If I go to larger summer wheels/tires, I might get 255/275 winters on my PP1 Wheels next time and...
I've been on a set of PS4S in summer and Pirelli Sottozero 3's in winter for a couple years now. The 275 PS4S have always struggled to hook up on the street (at best, the 275 PS4S in 80F weather hook as well as my 245 Sottozero 3's in 30F weather). Can anyone comment on whether you noticed...
Thanks, everyone. Going through the corner of the Ozarks but otherwise as flat as can be. I was already leaning this way, sounds like the best option for sure!
I'm going to have to drive from the northern US to the southern US (12 hours, 700 miles each way) next week and I'm wondering which tires I should use (or, which are more susceptible to temperature damage). I've got a set of Sottozero 3's on now and a set of PS4S in my garage.
The temp when I...
I'm not sure how that's different than me driving 20 minutes with a completely dead battery to be honest but either way, I'll run it until it stops working rather than risk damaging something to test and see if it will eventually stop working.
I'm curious what makes you say that, given that it was producing consistent voltage with a completely dead battery and a brand new battery? I usually avoid anything remotely electrical-related, I have no knowledge in this area.
They ran an alternator test with a similar meter to what you're talking about. I decided to drive it to the dealership yesterday afternoon so if it did break down, it wouldn't be during the Monday morning rush hour. I watched the voltage gauge and it held at 14.5v the whole trip. I told the...
I had to jump start my car back to back times a couple days ago, so I took it to Auto Zone for a new battery. They did their tests and came over to tell me the battery may or may not be dead, but the alternator definitely is. I was pretty shocked (and frustrated since my bumper to bumper...
Well, it sounds like everyone here is saying the GT350 isn't necessarily legal in all 50 states (or at least close enough to get ticketed and have to waste time/money in court). I mean that's literally what this entire thread is about lol.
I haven't had any trouble yet but it looks like Indiana specifically prohibits cutouts and bypasses, so there are thousands of cars coming off dealer lots already illegal every year I guess. Most performance cars have valved exhausts at this point.
Here's the Rode Lavalier mic with the biggest deadcat it comes with, and another (much bigger) deadcat over that one. I have 3 foam/deadcat things I can mix and match to see what sounds the best, but these 100% cut out the distortion up top:
I already had one on there, but I have another mic coming tomorrow to try. I think it sounds amazing, except for the pretty nasty static noise at WOT (18-20 seconds in the video).
That's what I was thinking, probably going to need a gain-adjustable microphone. Which do you use? I don't want to have to hit record on multiple things before each autocross run, and detract from the fun I'm actually having by having to worry about technology.
Hey everyone,
My Olympus ME51S audio gets pretty severely distorted at WOT, as in the video below. I've tried it in several locations and the only places I can put it to somewhat curb the issue significantly diminish the sound of the exhaust (to the point that it would almost be better to just...
I ran at Lucas Oil the weekend they opened last year and had some pretty undesirable results (tires lit up going into 2nd with the 10R80 in track and drag strip mode, so I was stuck in sport mode the whole day). Have any of you run at Bunker Hill or Muncie? Any chance those tracks may be a bit...
What about Fathouse Fabrications, south of Indianpolis? They have worked on some of the fastest S550s on the planet, they would at least have advice if they don’t tune in-house.
