my bad :headbonk: , I will be heading there tomorrow morning. They said if they have the part in stock, they will give me a loaner. If the part is not in stock, they will order it and have me drive my car until then. My A/C would go out just as it starts to heat up again..i think you had a good run, i mean 4.2 million miles is a lot! curious if you issue is on par with the rest, im in fl too, and i cant be without ac! are you leaving it and are they giving you a loaner?

what was the problem? loner car? i live in fl also, my ac has been great, but let get real...i cant go a day without it:lol:4,892 miles. AC died today. I am still glad I live in Florida, though temps in the 70's not the 90's. Sad, actually pathetic.
Loaner car? Not quite. Bought brand new. Had for just 1 year. Used ac a lot, yet many days during cooler weather Drive w/o with windows down. More so since I put a SOLO cat back exhaust on.what was the problem? loner car? i live in fl also, my ac has been great, but let get real...i cant go a day without it:lol:
I am pretty sure that the seats are just cooled by fans - nothing to do with the refrigerated system.Oddly- the cooled seats still seem to be working.
The seats are cooled by a thermal electric device (TED). There's an old gigantic thread on the cooled seats not cooling very well, and Ford put out a TSB with an updated TED and air intake tube to try and make them perform better.I am pretty sure that the seats are just cooled by fans - nothing to do with the refrigerated system.
A minor correction to my earlier post - the seats are cooled by fans and a peltier device - not by the refrigerated systemThe seats are cooled by a thermal electric device (TED). Dealer just needs to order the updated AC evaporator (if that's the cause), and then install it per the factory Service Manual (which they should have). Have them trouble-shoot why it's not cooling, but it's most likely the evaporator has went bad like dozens of others have reported here.I'm in Australia and I feel like Ford Aus will not be prepared for this problem yet or have any idea how Ford US has been fixing it. Going to try and get the dealer to read this thread about it for ideas. Taking it in tomorrow to be looked at.
Thanks. I will definitely push them towards looking at that initially. Should I do something about the cooled seats at the same time?Dealer just needs to order the updated AC evaporator (if that's the cause), and then install it per the factory Service Manual (which they should have).
