AC went out

It's sad when we are hoping something fails quickly before the warranty runs out. Between this and the DL vibration problem, my anxiety level about this car will probably make me trade it for a Dodge Truck.

Finally, my AC went out tonight after weeks of dealer trips, blend door actuators/faulty wiring loom diagnosis etc etc
Started off no heat my side when requested just cool air,now max AC blowing bloody hot!
It must be this dreaded evaporator failure!

Well I must say I am suprised. Dealer kept the car overnight and had it ready by 5pm the next day. They diagnosed it as the Evaporator coil, replaced it and had it all back together in one day. No squeeks or rattles so far. I must give props to Elder Ford Tampa as they did a great job with no hassles.

Just back from the workshop, collected the Pony after fixing the evaporator, it seems dash has been properly fitted and screwed well. No rattles or unexpected noises even when running on bumbers. Will test over the weekend.

I found out today that my dash will be coming out for the ac too. I'm scheduling to bring it back after the holidays so they aren't holding the car to long. Said it could be up to a week.

My AC seems to have gone out as well. Are there any issues taking the car to the dealership if I have a tune (because of headers)? I saw mentions of reprogramming the PCM in this thread and want to make sure.

Welp.
Add another to the list: 2016 GT PP with only 11,000 miles and the driver's side A/C is warm while the passenger's side is cold. Scheduled an appointment next week.

I got my car back We'd. It only took them 2 days to replace the cool behind the dash. So far not rattles and everything works great.

Well... less than 7K on mine, and I have an appointment to take it in on Monday. The driver's side is blowing warm, passenger side cold. [MENTION=7992]FordService[/MENTION], I hope I don't need any help, but I'll let you know.

On the plus side, if they have to rip my entire dash out of a car with less than 7K on the odometer, maybe they'll fix the rattles in the center stack... :frusty:

Finally had time to bring mine in this morning for a persisting whining noise coming from the engine, figured it was the A/C because I noticed it wasn't blowing cold the few times I drove with my windows shut since the noise started to occur (December/Jan weather here in NE FL is quite agreeable).

Compressor is shot, 21k miles. Service manager said it'll be a few days before the part comes in. Somewhat of a pain in the rear but at least it's covered under warranty and it's not the middle of summer. Also, I'm still able to drive my car in the meantime.

Oddly- the cooled seats still seem to be working.

After going through and reading most of the thread, it seems I am the only one to have my compressor go out instead of the evaporator core.

I don't know if I should feel lucky or not because it looks like a real mess to replace the evaporator, but I would hate for that to go on mine after the warranty runs out.

Got my car back today, dash out not for evaporator failure but faulty connections in loom.Started off no heat, then direction flow went tits up, then AC was blowing out warm one side.Then the next day everything would work ok.This went on for weeks.
Had to wait for new RHD loom and connectors to be made, but all fitted now with no rattles or squeaks.
