Hey guys,
I have a 2021 stang GT w A10 & Roush phase 2 blower on it and adjustable exhaust. What is the best "light to light action" drive mode on this trans?
My mode set up is SPORT+, Sport steering and TRACK exhuast. I find it fun, but wondering if there is a more potent setting. Please let me know your thoughts and opinions.

Thanks, Anthony

Potent in what sense? What do you find lacking in Sport+?

Drag mode can be used for fastest launch and acceleration, but it's not really meant for the street especially in a 700+ hp car.

Hey, thanks for reply. =) I shouldve stated launch, in my thread. Sport + rocks, and love the downshifts and pops and crackles and all. But the launch is lacking.. my rear end gears are 3.15s.
What is the diff between TRACK vs DRAG drive settings? I drove In Track drive mode and found it to be doggish,, less Rpms..
This all new to me, as I'm an oldschool foxbody guy. So I'm still learning.

Thanks, Anthony

This!! But doing this on a street can be dangerous and not recommended. But I think you know this already. :giggle: :like:

"launch is lacking"??? In drag or sport+, the launch shouldn't be lacking. Normal mode does have a more gentle throttle tip-in making it less herky-jerky in traffic. The performance modes are pretty aggressive. Around town, I usually just use normal mode and if I want quicker response, I just slip the shifter into sport mode. That gives the response of sport+ without changing anything else. I have the 3.55 gear.

I've always driven in Sport+, but may actually try normal mode to see if it calms my car down a little.

Funny how we all interpet the driving modes a little different. I find drag mode to be sluggish unless I'm all the way to the floor, then the car just screams, along with the tires for the first three shifts. I've assumed there's something in the tranny that allows the torque converter to slip a bit to keep the tires from spinning.

I find I use Sport+ most when I'm having fun. I like the traction control to stay on just in case.

Try sport Mode (not sport+). The gears hold for longer and don’t skip a gear, but the shifting isn’t as aggressive as sport+. I find it’s a good middle ground when you are in traffic but want to have some fun. Sport+, to me, feels a little haywire in traffic.

I really haven't played with modes since my car was stock. Now that it's supercharged, I feel sport plus is jus a bit much. If I put the throttle down about 20-25% off a light it doesn't spin initially but then letting up from there it will screech the next 2 gears about a half second apart. A little softer shifting at low throttle would be better for every day driving. I'll try Sport and normal again to see if one feels better under these conditions.

I love Sport mode, but I wish it could skip gears especially on downshifts slowing down from speed. I like that it holds the RPM's longer on upshifts, but slowing down to make a turn is annoying. I usually end up going to paddles to control it.
