How many of you plan on keeping your S550 as a 'forever' car? I believe that the S550 is peak Mustang design, it looked good when it was first revealed, it looks good now and it will still look good in twenty years, it's a timeless design. Pair those good looks with the Coyote motor and I'd say it's a keeper. Even if I could afford to own a GTD, Dark Horse and Ford GT MK IV tomorrow, my Mach 1 would still have room in the stable.

Probably too old to buy another one. Besides I spent $40,000 for a 2022 Calif Special in 2022, same car as equiped would be $55,000 now. Talk about inflation.
I hear ya man, if this is to be the last one, you made an excellent choice!

I love my S550, peak Mustang, it is not. Maybe performance wise, but looks wise, not even close. The S197 cars, 13-14 in particular, look a lot better, not to mention 64-70 lol.

I see no reason to sell my GT. I own one for almost a decade and still look for excuses to ride one. It is classy and brutal. I also like s197 for same reasons. If I owned s197 I’d kept one as well.

I haven’t owned a rear engined car yet. That’s my only itch for now. But C8 is a two seater and I like to have a company. 911 will want me to spent money I’d rather spend towards other reasons.

So no actual opportunity to upgrade.

I bought mine with the intent of driving it until I can’t. I’m not worried about the mechanicals holding up, I think it’s the electronics that will be the problem. I do think the 550 is one of the best looking models to date.

I own my s550 outright and I will drive it until I can't drive it safely anymore. I can't stand those iPad dashes in these newer cars at all.

Agreed, who's idea was it to slap a computer screen in a muscle car anyway? lol

Plan on keeping mine forever. Currently has a vortech v3 on it and when it ages and things go, I’ll build the engine and trans to make it even faster

I have a S197 that I can't seem to let go of. I also have a 2021 GT/CS that keeps growing on me. It will most likely be my last Mustang. I love it's styling, the interior is the nicest I've ever had in a mustang. And we all know the Coyote is bad a$$ engine. At my age I'm happy that I can still drive it like I stole it.

Subjective. I personally only like the Fox body, SN95, Termi, and '18-'23. I don't like the S197 at all!

This is my first mustang and it's staying. I have put too much into the car to ever get rid of it unless my insurance buys it. I bought it as I tend to keep my fast stuff longer than anything else.

This is my "keeper" and I have had a great time customizing it. Been offered more than I have put into it at car shows and still not interested in letting her go. Tough day and all I have to do is come home a take her for a ride.

I have a 2016 GT. I plan on keeping it until the wheels fall off or mine fall off, whichever comes first. I also love the S197, especially the 2013 Boss. I would love to own one some day. I'm not feeling the 650. Maybe I would reconsider owning one if Ford would update that hideous front grill. Especially if Ford went with a SC like front end. Otherwise, no thanks.

If I get rid of mine, which I probably won't, I would only do it for a Mexican GTR or a Mach1, and the Mach1 I would be looking to try a turbo. I had an S197 GT500 and absolutely loved it. At this point, I really only like the GT500 version of the S197's.
