We have been working on this for a while now, and we finally got our first sample out for testing. It is a 90mm straight bore throttle body for the GT's with a configurable outlet from 80 to 90mm to match your manifold or supercharger inlet. Does not need an adapter and can also be installed on GT350's.

It will be tested on a 16 GT with a 90mm inlet Edelbrock Supercharger, we'll keep you posted here on how the development goes.

Here are a few pics of the first article it is a little bit banged up from so much handling but pretty good for a first sample.

I know throttle bodies have negligible gains on a full bolt on car, but are you gonna test one of these on one anyway?

Depends on the car, the bolt-on's , the TB before and the TB after. Sure, we have to test to find out. One thing is for sure, more power needs more air which in turn needs greater flow area.

Will this need remapping in the tune? Is it plug and play?

If it needs a remap do you supply the data?

That's one of the things we need to test, if the car is tuned with the stock one will this one work?

Obviously, you can always zero it out with another tune, but the ECM can compensate quite a bit. It was designed with idle and home position airflows near those of the OEM TB for this very reason, let's see.

Good evening!

I’m the person that’s going to be testing this out!

Big thanks to Mike at Soler Engineering for giving me the opportunity to give this a whirl!

Shipping says it will be here Monday... today is Canada Day (similar to your 4th of July holiday).

Those that have read any of my posts know that I’m all about street manners. I’ve built cars in the past that went too far and although very fast, took some of the pleasure away from just cruising. My goal for this car was a very fast cruiser that I could drive anywhere in comfort and class without having to work at it. The mods I’ve done all work extremely well together and provide enough horsepower to run easy mid 10s all day. Fast enough for me and how I want to use this car.

With that said, my car runs better than stock. I’m tuned by Lund, which I feel is the best in the business. No hiccups, no concerns and no drama. I run 94 Petro-Canada 99% of the time but occasionally run 93 from Esso or Mobil if there’s no Petro-Canada 94 available. Car was street tuned with logs and then finished off on the dyno remotely.

Currently using the stock TB because, well, it just plain works. I know when I spoke with Tony at EB I was leaving a few hp on the plate but for driveability this was the way to go. He said that I would likely not feel a difference running the Ford Motorsport 90mm TB but it would make more power. My supercharger is the one of the first 2650s that did not have the larger modular opening. So, I’m “stuck” with a 90mm opening.

What my goal with the TB is to give it a try. It’s supposed to be a plug and play piece so we’ll see. Secretly I’m hoping for the same smoothness I have now and perhaps a little bit more grunt throughout. Honestly, I’m hoping to Feel a little difference, but I won’t be disappointed if I don’t, so long as it runs as smooth as it does now. I don’t have any track rentals coming up so won’t have any hard numbers to compare with. I do use a dragy but this is becoming extremely more challenging to do with the harsher penalties for speeding and such.

So stay tuned! I told Mike I would love the opportunity to give it a try! I will be completely honest with my assessment. I have nothing to lose by doing so. In pictures, these TBs look fantastic! I’ll have the real thing next week...

Thanks again Mike!

I’ll post my reports on this thread instead of making a new one...

Wish me luck!! Lol

I'd be willing to test this out also. I have a 17 and the ability to test with the stock and the GT350 manifolds. My car is N/A

Still has not arrived. I can see it left Illinois July 1st, but not here yet. Combine that with a few holidays and looks like it’s taking a wee bit longer. Working on an unanticipated issue so it’s given me a few days to work that out...

Subbed, as I am running the GT350 intake and 47# injectors with the stock TB (with adapter) on E85. It's virtually flawless as is, but if one of these would be the icing on the cake I'm all for it.

Update...

Still in transit. Says it was processed in Chicago July 6th and in transit to its destination... hopefully early in the week I will see the work of art!

Like everything these days, shipping is taking more time. Took me an hour to cook minute rice the other day too, so can’t complain.
