Update...

Still in transit. Says it was processed in Chicago July 6th and in transit to its destination... hopefully early in the week I will see the work of art!

Like everything these days, shipping is taking more time. Took me an hour to cook minute rice the other day too, so can’t complain.
USPS is not the best, we know. We use them for Canada for they won't charge recipients customs brokerage fees, which are substantial, it is worth the wait according to most of our customers in Canada. It should be there anytime now.

Oh absolutely worth the wait. Customs is a pain! Notice today said the shipment is in Canada so likely here in the next day or two. Don’t forget the package was sent before stat holidays on both sides of the border and that always delay things.

Can’t wait for it to get here!!

Guess what I got today?!

This is a really nice solid piece! Has a lot more heft than the stock one. Feels like quality!

Well done Mike!!

Can’t wait to get this thing bolted on! Looking like Friday is the day!

More to come!!!

Quick update with pics. Next post will be operation...

Wow! Nice piece!

I told you it was heftier than the stock one so weighed them both. New TB is 10 ounces heavier than the old. When you’re only dealing with old one that weighs 2lbs 3oz and the new is 2lbs 13 oz that’s a big difference. Feels like quality!

Install is pretty straight forward. I followed Mike’s instructions. Takes like 10 minutes... bolts up perfect with a new gasket and bolts as well. Getting the intake tube on is a little tricky and took longer than the actual install but all good!

If this performs the way it looks and feels we’re in great shape!!

Some teasers...

Going to log first idle with the nGauge as well so we’ll see...

More to come!

Wow! I stick to my earlier thoughts that this is a beautiful piece of machinery. Hope it performs as promised.

Idling is the hardest thing to do for a TB. Let's see how the driving goes. Thanks!

First drive report!

So idle was smooth and imperceptible from stock TB. Did the recommended drive as on the Soler Performance website. Then it was time to give it a little more of a test.

No cels and no hiccups. It’s so hard to tell if there’s a difference in power. Boost maybe comes on a little sooner hard to say. This blower hits hard as it is. I was immediately impressed by this.

Like I’ve stated previously though, to obtain hard factual numbers is going to be difficult. Can’t get to the track until the fall but even then it will be difficult to obtain hard and fast HP numbers. No real shock to me there.

I went into this saying that if the car idled well and the street manners were the same, then to me that’s a huge win! Is the car making more power? I will say this, that a TB at my power levels would be hard to feel. But, I do believe that it does hit boost a little harder. Overall, opening up the TB can ONLY make more power as long as fueling and spark can keep up. So far so good. I did do a few logs so will have a look at those and see what my fuel trims are doing. Nothing was alarming in the drives so far.

Plan is some more spirited drives this weekend and next and put some more miles on it to get a better taste of how it does. So far though, this is very impressive! Idled and ran just as it was expected.

To me though, after looking at the stock TB under hood and then comparing it to the new Soler Performance TB, the Soler one is much better looking. Aggressive and mean looking. It looks the part so much better than stock. For me, that alone is worth the price of these things! I would be all over purchasing one of the new ones they make versus sending in my stock one. Looks alone are worth the money.

Overall, more to come with the review. So far though, everything is exactly as it should be. Runs great with no cels or concerns of any sort. More miles will help also.

Thanks for listening!

Thanks again Mike. This is a nice high quality piece that works as it should. Looks great too!!

Not yet, but it will be, give us a couple of months. It will look identical, it is just a matter of configuring the sensor output. Thanks!

You say this fits the stock GT manifold and the GT350 manifold without adapters?

What is the proposed price point?

This specific sample being tested won't fit the GT350 without Adapters. But this is only a test run, the actual production parts will look more like the picture below. It will have slotted holes with the outermost position corresponding to the GT350 hole pattern.

We'll also customize the outlet upon order at no extra cost to match anything between 80-90mm. I.e someone with a stock GT350 manifold can order an 87mm custom outlet.

It will be a tough competitor at ~$450.

A few pics... before and now.

Had some time on my hands so painted the stock TB black and did some “custom engraving” on the supercharger name plates.

The Soler just looks so much better!!!

Sexy looking piece to right there! I’m curious as to whether the wiring harness plugs into the connector much easier then the previous cast aluminum versions, as those were a tight fit?
