and the PP turned aluminum dash overrides the 50th axle-spun aluminum dash.
I don't think we know this with 100% certainty, just yet. I asked the question to Tricia (FordService), but no response in that thread yet.

You are correct. I forgot to add that disclaimer. I think everything on this forum should have a disclaimer of "probably" or "per rumors and/or speculation" lol

Yup, I'm on the same level with you. :) I've been trying to be very careful about that and get others to do the same.

Anyone know if 50th anniversary package will be available on convertibles? I assume so....especially now that they have that one of a kind LE convertible being raffled off....and the fact that they always tout how the Mustang was designed to be a convertible
Not sure if this has been answered already... but yes, the 50th Anniversary Appearance Package will be offered as an option on the EcoBoost convertible and the V8 convertible.

You never get two sets of wheels with Ford so yeah doesn't matter if you are buying two packages. One takes precedence. Where would they put the other four wheels and tires? Load them in your mustang's back seat and trunk? :p

I'm not sure if that was addressed to me, but yeah, that's my point. You're obviously only getting one set of wheels, so it sucks that you're paying for two when that is probably the most expensive part of the 50th anniversary package.

I would get one or the other. And the performance pack is the one you want. Add a color accent pack to that (401a) and youll be good. Itll look like mostly a perf pack car anyway if you get both.

Yeah, you're probably right... I just thought the 50th package would be a nice way to have a memorable car and maybe slightly increase the rarity/re-sale value of the car down the line. But it's probably not worth it considering all the stuff I'd be paying for and wouldn't actually get, because I *definitely* want the performance pack.

Ah well, guess I just saved myself $1600.

The 50th Appearance pack will add zero value on top of the package because of the Limited Editions. The Appearance packs are pretty much tribute cars to the 50th and the LEs.

Eh it will add some value on paper, but other than that you probably will find a lot of people who don't care about it when it comes time to buy a used '15....especially if it's on a PP equipped car...that's where you will see the biggest hit in re-sale.

If it's by itself, with the wheels then you will (should) have better value on the resale.

It all depends on what you want.

For me, I can't fathom the idea of a Mustang without a corralled pony grill and gas cap out back. Those two parts probably cost about a hundred bucks between them, but for me it's worth the $1600 just to get them. Just a matter of personal preference.

The only value it will add is the value of the package. Sorry that's the truth.

Yep that was what I was trying to say if it didn't come out that way, other than the face value of it.....it's not going to go up or anything like that...

If I was searching for a used '15 and found one with both PP + 50th AP I would have to get them to reduce the price based on the fact that the 50th isn't a "full" package in comparison..

Thats an interesting take. For all of us 2005+ owners, a coralled pony grill means V6 and inferior. We got the massive fogs and the pony. So much so that I wouldnt want the corralled grill if you paid me for it. Let the pony free I say :-) and we do in GTs

I've been playing with the Ford "Build It" section of the website. It seems foolish that you can't get the Recaro's with the 50th appearance pkg. I like the wheels included with the 50th pkg....but really want the Recaro's. Perhaps I can just get a set of wheels later.
