Please, give me a link or something showing where a GTPP won in lap times. Not being snarky, I really haven't seen or heard of it. I'd love to.

Everybody knows this.

It was barely a slight edge but it was a win. Lol

You'll find it with a simple search of this forum or with Google.

It's not that hard.

Those runs were on a different day and with a different driver, and the GTPP won by .02 of a second over the 1LE. That's not a good comparison. Every head to head comparison of any lap times or handling tests show that the 1LE puts up better numbers in road racing and handling. Saying the Camaro lost that "comparison" is grasping for straws to make the Mustang look better.

1LE wins in lap time, braking, slalom, and skid pad in two separate tests:

With Motertrends head to head between the two cars listed above, which car do you think they will choose as the winner and why?

Personally, the 350R is a better car but I think they will end up saying the z/28 is the winner due to their Chevy biased opinion.
The z28 Chevy provided Motor Trend put down 469RWHP. The LS7 in the z28 is a 505HP engine.

So, the z28 Chevy provided Motor Trend is ONLY losing 7.5% to the wheels. The z28 usually loses 11-12% to the wheels.

How could this be???

Well, the only explaination is the LS7 in the z28 Chevy sent Motor Trend had a 530+hp engine in it (available from GM Performance). So, I could really care less about Motor Trends outcome... for one of two reasons...

1.) Either Motor Trend was too stupid to see the discrepancy OR,

2.) Motor Trend was in on the discrepancy.

#2 seems more likely because they asked "What happened to the extra power" and blamed the HP loss on the GT350.

The GT350 in that test lost about 11% to the wheels. Right where it should be...

You will not hear or see Camaro fans discussing this discrepancy. This is because it would indicate Chevy is using what we call a "Ringer". A vehicle that is tuned and adjusted to perform beyond the OEM cars abilities. This is a regular practice at General Motors.

 Only Camaro fans would see math and think conspiracy.

It is a fact... 469 of 505 is 7.5%

7.5% is about 4% lower than possible...

No conspiracy... and you don't need to be a mathematician to figure that out.

The z28 in that test is stronger than the OEM z28.

They Dyno between 435-450...

Unless of course you have an explaination. I would like to hear any theories or conspiracies as to how this is possible.

Or you could just color yourself gullible and believe it

So what is your explanation?
Yeah... I want to understand this phenomenon...

Something similar happened to the 2016 SS they just dyno'd.

How does an LT1 equipped SS lose just as much to the rear wheels as a 2016 C7 Corvette. Same LT1 only the C7 uses a highly efficient Transaxle and superior IRS and lighter wheels... Both cars lost only 11% (Camaro was a tad better at 11% flat)

Hmmmmmm... I hope those who ordered recieves the same deal  They will Dyno at 385-ish and everyone will be thrilled

I admit that it's probably the highest dyno on a stock LS7 that I've seen, most of those being on Z06s which should have less drive line loss if anything.

Yep!!!

The z06's high Dyno's are a product of the Transaxle instead of a Transmission. But, Chevy assumes most of the Camaro fan base is gullible. Unless you are paying attention, they could tune them up to run even with the C7 and nobody (obviously nobody noticed) will second guess them.

Even the 455 RWHP posted by redline motorsports of their Z28 was most likely a happy dyno. Average for Z06's was around 435 and even hotrod magazine dyno'd a 2014 Z28 at 438 RWHP.

They also noted in the lastest GT350R article that they did the 0-60 and 1/4mile times without launch control or the drag racing settings.

I mean, who would want to use those fancy things when Ford offers them, right? Real men turn the nannies off when moving in straight lines

Wow! They didn't even try the things that could make the GT350 recalibrate for drag racing when it's obviously not set up for it? They usually try it with and without. I guess that could somewhat explain the ridiculous amount of wheel spin that MT got on launch compared to all the other launches that we've seen.
