Man, Tough crowd. I bought plastic steering wheel covers to go over the steering wheel when I get it worked on, Aligned ETC. I use the Alcantara Cleaner which some one above posted if or when necessary. Good Luck.

Well, you have a legitimate reason for covering it. To buy that beautiful wheel and then cover it on a daily basis because it could get dirty.

Absolutely - I was just saying that washing your hands first will help with that (but not eliminate)

Thanks for the insight. In today's world of supply and demand, everything is an investment, just trying to protect mine. Don't look now but Ford is fast tracking discontinuance of it's specialty parts.

I can certainly understand why you want to do this. It is not a cheap part. But there is not need to protect it. It’s a steering wheel, your connection to the road. It just needs to be kept clean. Use it, enjoy it, and keep it clean.

I know I’m going to catch hell for this. I love the feel of the the alcantara, but I prefer a rubber covered wheel when I drive.

Only use the bottom leather portion to drive. Never ever touch the alcantara suede. LOL
