Some people, obviously not everyone, care about handling more than look
While square 305s is obviously better, it's not like 285/305 stagger is going to be significantly different. The difference is relatively minor...99% of people won't even be able to tell the difference during driving on track.

So unless you're trying to set lap records everywhere you go, it doesn't mean that if you only have 285 fronts it's "not caring about handling". Not everyone needs to maximize every last tenth on track.

Track days are between $200 to $400 per day depending on track, time of the year and organization
You have plenty of organizations that are very cheap and and easy to join
I can recommend you a few if you tell me where you are
But you are right, as a rule it is an expensive hobby. Save for autocross which is very cheap
I'm in NC

But the OP is not talking about 285/305, he's is talking 285/345. So ignoring the xost of the wheels and tires.he want to spend $10k in supsnsion and/or.body mods to make his car significantly slower. Unless he spends another $50k to get a Corvette/Viper weight distribution

big fan of 285/35R19 and 325/30R19's

I rarely run these anymore though, the car is on a drag pack 95% of the time.

I am 275/40/19 in front and 305/30/20 in rear. Love it.

Nitto 555r 2s 345 30 r19 with mps4s 275 35 19 as far as understeer no fucks given, handles just fine for street duty I don't autocross. The car has 1 inch drop springs, had to slightly clearance upper rear shock mounts but if I had proper rear camber it would be fine. Right now it has stock camber and stock alignment which will be fixed eventually.

Those rears look meaty!
Iā€™ve considered running 345/30/19 NT05s on mine.
I have the project6gr SEVENS in 19x11 rear.

What width are your rear wheels?

Beautiful car, looks awesome. How do those Indy 500's do in terms of traction with your car, which I'm guessing is in the ~700rwhp range?

For price ya canā€™t beat em. Once warm they were decent but after switching to e85 and droppin pulley size not so much. But Iā€™m very pleased with em. Thank!

Hey this is Junior from Project 6GR. Doing a 19x11.5 345 in the rear is achievable but is it really worth it not really on my opinion. You are really limited on tire size and you might need to do some aftermarket rear shock mounts for extra clearance depending on the amount of camber you need. This is my car on 6GR Tens 19x10 +35 305/30/19 front, 19x11 +50 325/30/19. The 325's are plenty wide for the rear and will give you that wide meaty look you want. If you have any more fitment questions feel free to give me a call, I would be happy to help. I have been through many different wheel setups on my personal car.
