$30 ADM for an R

Tell me why anyone in their right mind would pay $30k over sticker for a R car. First off, Ford charges you to remove stuff to make it lighter. Then if you want it back, they charge you again to put it back. So then, it is almost the same as the regular GT350 and is heavier. The main differences are the spring rates, tires and wheels.

So do you buy the car just to show off to your buddy's, hey look at me?

What is your reason for paying so much more money?

Simple. Because they want the R and they can afford to do it. Not every vehicle purchase is based on bang-for-the-buck. Let me know when you have put fifteen months and 18+K miles on your ZL1 and are able to sell it for the same price you paid for it.

There are still 5 NEW Z/28's for sale. I just made an offer with A/C for $30k and the price is $65k. Hey, it has been sitting there for 2 years and nobody wants it. It would make a good beater daily driver.

You are absolutely correct. I no longer own a GT350 but I still spend a good bit of time here. I try and research before I start a thread though. If you read the ADM sticky at the top of this section you would see why many paid ADM to get a standard GT350. With only 500 R's made in 2016, many are willing to pay even more than 30k above MSRP to get their hands on one. There are a lot of people with far too much money. Do you think someone making 7+ figures a year gives a crap about an extra 30k when they want something only a few can have? Supply and demand.

ADM discussions where in nearly every thread on this forum at one time. That is why there is an entire thread just to discuss ADM. Starting this thread, with all that data already available, makes people think you are trolling. If you don't like ADM, don't pay it. The likelihood of you getting a new R for MSRP are slim to none.

Once. They had a head to head to head with the z28 at Chuckawalla. The 350r was about 3 sec. faster then the GT350 track. :cheers:
