Buy the whole 3.13 pumpkin right? Everything should bolt in place correctly? Or do I need additional parts?

Thinking that’s the way to go on a manual whippple stage 2 unless you guys convince me otherwise.

Thanks

I think you mean a center section, and it would be 3.31 in the 8.8 rear?

It’s pretty straightforward. Make sure that the diff you buy comes with a manual flange. My used iron 3.31 diff came with an auto flange somehow. Didn’t realize til it was in the car. Fun job to swap that.

overall the swap was easy, just takes a little time.

the diff is quite heavy as you would expect so make sure its secured when you pull it.

if you dont have upgraded axles you will need to pull them for the diff to come out. however the 4 bolts holding the diff in will come right out and the diff drops right out of the vehicle.

dubster99 is correct that you need to make sure that you have a manual pinion flange. as long as it came out of a GT and not an ecoboost or v6 it should have the manual pinion.

I havent gone WOT yet due to breaking in a new twin disc clutch but driving around town is much nicer and you can tell he difference in the length of the gears.

longer time in boost should be fun!

I wish my 3.31 Iron had the auto flange on it! I just had to send my driveshaft back up to Shaftmaster to install a new manual flange & rebalance it for me.

I went 3.73, to 3.31 then 3.15 due to a couple bad gear installs on the 3.31. Love the change. Car feels like it went from being on meth to valium...until you go WOT then it pulls and pulls and pulls.

Sort of a drive train question more so than a force induction one. But yes buy the whole thing that is what I did going from 3.15 to 3.55.
