When I was still naturally aspirated I was running a set of Michelin as3+ 275 rears. I could bring the thing up to 4K rpm in first gear and just gut stomp it and they wouldn’t break loose. The as4’s are supposed to be better. If you drive in freezing temps and plan to stay stock power I’d say go with an all season and 285 is plenty.

Good catch. When I read 305, I assume he was buying a recommended package that would include the right-width wheels. No way I would attempt to mount a 305 on a 9.5"wheel.

I can't believe no one pointed out that the 9.5" rear wheels are not wide enough to do 305. I suggest you go with ether with 275/40 square or 275/40 front with 285/35 rears.

So 275/30r19 for front and 285/35r19 would be the way to go if I want those wheels correct? Or what about 295/35r19? I was checking on Discount Tires because they do carry Continental and Michelins. AM don’t carry those

OP, as bnightstar pointed out. Your tires and wheels are not what would normally be considered a good match. I highly suggested putting some more research into what it is you are wanting to do. If you are wanting to run 275 or 285 on the front and 305 on the rear, then look for wheels that are typically 10" wide for the fronts and 11" wide for the rears. If you want to stick with the wheels you have in your cart, then you need to look at tires that are not as wide. I personally wouldn't call a 9.5" wide wheel much of an upgrade.....but I know many people do.

Since the wheels are only 9.5” wide I’d do 275/40 all the way around so you can rotate and get more life. No point in staggering tire sizes if the wheels aren’t also staggered. 305 are way too wide for a 9.5” wheel.

275/40/19 are the same size as the rear PP1 tires.

And as others have stated, I’d go with a different tire. If they make them in that size, Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 have more grip and feedback then the off the shelf Michelin PS4S, and are likely less expensive, though they won’t last as long. But, you can’t go wrong with the PS4S.

If all seasons are in the cards, I’d recommend the Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 plus. I’ve had those and the Michelin sport A/S 3+ and they are both good all seasons.

285/35 are smaller dia so I wouldn’t run those in back with 275/40 in front.

so that stuff in my cart, the AM salesman did it for me, he put everything together and sent me the quote link which opened to that . We talked it out and he told me everything would fit perfect, so maybe he forgot or didn’t notice that the wheels wouldn’t fit on 305? But I just checked their site and they have the same wheels I want but 10.5 so I could go for 305

What about the Atturos? Are they any better ?
I have the Atturo AZ 850's (P255/40/19) on mine for a couple of years now and I love them. Great looking, great traction dry and wet, and long lasting. And VERY price friendly. Mine from flebay just about $100 each, delivered. I paid Discount Tire to mount and balance them. I'll do it again in a heartbeat.

Yeah I think he made a mistake and thought he put 10.5” for the rears. As an example, Michelin says 10.5” is the narrowest wheel width for 305. If you go 305/35 in the rear on 10.5” wide wheels I’d go 265/40 in the front on the 9.5” so they aren’t taller than the rear tires. They’ll be almost the exact same diameter.

So I’ve been trying to search around and right now I have this, the front wheels 19x9.5 and the rear 19x10.5 from AM then from discount Tires I got the Michelins pilot sport 4s 275/30r19 fronts and 295/35r19 rear, would that setup go together? My total would be around 4K :,( with the nittos it was 3k but it seems that they have a bad rep, what other tire suggestions do you have?
How do Pirelli PZ4 Sport or P zero hold up?

I don't remember but not too bad. I also purchased the tire warranty from them at the same time.. Just checked my bill: Unmounting the original tires, mounting and balancing the new ones, were $14 ea plus tire warranty was $20 per tire. Still very reasonable for four new tires. My P-Zero's were worn out and replaced at 17,800 miles. Had tread left but they still offered no traction. I now have about 35,000 miles total and the Atturo's have plenty of life left. Traction is much better than the P-Zeros. I have only tracked the new tires a couple of times and with my experience level they did fine for me. I'm sure better tires might grip better bur for the price and my driving style these are doing great for me.

Those front tire sizes (275/30/19) are too small in diameter and will result in a large fender gap and won’t look good. I’d go 255/40, 265/40, or 275/35/19 on the fronts.
295/35/19 on the rear should look pretty meaty.

For pricing, check out the continental, Firestones, or Goodyears that were previously recommended. PS4S isn’t the only good summer tire. But is probably the most expensive.

Also check SVE out, they have Some good wheel choices as well.

For NA power 285 is plenty, and if you do square you can rotate which helps with wear if your foot is heavy. Extremely wide tires also increase the risk of hydroplaning, so if this is a daily driver that's another consideration. 305's are also not readily stocked at most tire places, so if you get a flat it can be kind of annoying.

Okay, I appreciate you and everyone else so much for taking their time out of their day to respond and help me out. I’m sorry for all this weird confusion going on. This is my first car that I got on my own and paying on my own. I got it at the age of 18 and about to make a year of owning it at the end of this month. I turn 20 in may but I’m still trying to learn about cars
