2013 GT500 - SOLD and 2020 GT500 - SOLD
No 2023 GT500.

There will be a S550 Mustang in 2023 but it will be a short model year.

My dealer is admittedly new to owning a Ford dealership but is part of a huge multi manufacturer dealership group.
My GM feels like they’re going to build 2023 GT500s.
Or even build remaining 2022 orders into 2023. Could they still be considered 2022 MYs built in 2023 calendar year?
Just starting this thread before I ask some of my contacts but I’m sure there are dealerships ‘selling’ 2023 GT500 orders and wanted to discuss.
What say you guys, will we see a 2023 GT500?

My contact at Ford. Who's been in and around Ford Racing in Dearborn for 3+ decades,
says No.
No gt500 in '23.
If General motors can build the 1969 Camaro well into 1970 w/great success.
No reason Ford couldn't build a S550 gt500 2022 well past last week before Christmas.

Its just beyond-- very unlikely to happen.

The Cafe standard mess isn't helping.
Hav ya seen how many gal per mile our rides get? 😆
U can make the fuel level drop w/a down shift. But dam, is it fun dwn-shift.

&, Until you up-shift this 20/22 car under load w/tranny in manual paddle Track Mode?
U cannot fully understand why pple would throw rocks at any manual gear box equipped Huffer car till ya drive this thing like ur runnin from Rue Paul, on date nite.
(Unless that's ur thing!)
Not even a car on the sniff can compare to the tiny cu-in/L , boost maker atop the stk 5.2L w/this fantastic dual clutch- wanna be 'Lenco'. It definitely separates the wheat from the chaff.

& Farley wants to widdle down the # of Eng choices as soon as possible at FoMoCo.

Love the colors on both your cars!
I freaked when I saw our Rapid Red car color for 1st time, at hi noon, in direct sunlight.
I thought Ford chg'd the code, for a moment.

It is beautiful though. Your 2 cars look great in the garage!
It's a wonderful thing that we get the chance to choose colors & options.

& when Ford builds that car specifically for you. & nobody else. It's...magic.

I would love for Ford to make a boss 302 and make the color combo of your car. They could make it with a healthier naturally aspirated 5.2 and either dct or the tremec 6 speed from the 350/mach. What I wish they would have made instead of the mach personally. Nice machines.

I'd consider replacing my 500 with a 5.2 Boss with a nice tremec.

Mach's aren't 5.2. I could specify, but a 5.2 with like 550 HP N/A is what I'd want. I love the 500, I just don't want to own it out of warranty and I kinda miss rowing gears.

While the question wasn't directed at me.. my vision would be for a gt350 2.0 so to speak, using the boss as the model with boss styling. To keep the people who want 'exclusivity' happy make it a 5.2 cpc with the modern nose, ducted grill (I'm sure there's a proper name) do aero updates, that may have not made it on the 350/500. No reason the car couldn't turn 8000 rpm and make 500-510hp. The crank had little to do with the 350's output. Maybe a more track oriented version with carbon ceramics etc. At the end of the day it would be a more reliable track car than the 350 with much lower cost to operate than the 500.
