2022 Official Mach 1 Order Tracking Thread

converted my order to a 2023 as of about 6 hours ago. hope for some better results this time around, hoping for an april/may delivery so i can bust it out for the spring and summer!

You and I ordered one day apart. I feel very fortunate mine was built. I thought for sure back in April I’d be in the same boat as you, re-ordering for 2023.

As of this morning the tracker is showing my car delivered to the dealership. I’ll text my sales manager during business hours and confirm it’s there.

I ordered 12 days before you and got assigned a VIN last month.

Strangely I had asked Ashleigh the day before that to prepare to roll over from 2022 to 2023 as I wanted to be early in the ‘23 queue. But she responded with a cryptic email informing me that my order won’t be rolled over. And next day, I got a VIN. What did Granger do or know?

They did agree to that, so that’s cool. And yes, washing would definitely have been the biggest concern. I’m not upset with them, certainly not going to fight over it. Just used to working with another dealership where it’s never been an issue and am a little disappointed. But only a little… I mean, I’m days away from getting my baby! (Ok “days” may be a stretch, it hasn’t shipped yet, so it may be a LOT of days ).

what is weird is i told them to skip the wash/clean up since it was just going open transport. car came last night and they def skipped all clean up PDI. 49 PSI in two tires as well. i do not see the shipping the blocks in the front springs, nor in the trunk though.

if you need me i will be in the garage all day cleaning her up. wait, him maybe? sorta want to call the Mach...... Maverick. lol.

All my vehicles are girls, and a Maverick can be a female. I'm sure there is a group in Hollyweird ready to ruin another franchise by casting a woke female as Maverick in a Top Gun sequel.

I received an email a few weeks ago from Ford with a 7 November build week.

Based on your experiences, will my car get built? If so, when should I expect it delivered to my dealer?

The variable that seems different in my case is the build switch over date to the new Mustang which seems to be calendar week 43 / 21 November.

I think you will likely get built if you actually recieved a build week, there's not much room for things to move as MY23 builds start later in November. But, as you've seen here, anything can happen... I would remain positive!

Like the others have said, it’s a roll
Of the dice. My car and two other members in this thread (at least) were ordered within 1 day of each other. Two got built, one is rolling over.

Of the two that got built one got to the dealer within a couple weeks, mine arrived today. (Almost 1 month after shipping) Maybe, waiting for confrontation from dealership.

I’m sure somewhere in the Ford world there is a logic to all this, but no one here seems to have figured it out yet.

We have instances in this thread of VINs being in production then being ‘rewinded’ to not yet in production.
But do we have examples in this thread or in the 2021 thread of VINs never being built and being canceled?

Well, finally picked the car up yesterday. It marks the end of a very long wait, but it turned out to be almost perfect timing for me which makes it even better. And man what a car. I had never even driven a GT so I guess I didn’t know what I should expect, but coming from an ecoboost this feels like a completely different car in all the best possible ways. I echo the words of everyone else in saying it’s 100% worth the wait.

Welcome, and you should be fine since you got a scheduled date. Anything can happen though, but the worst should be your order being pushed back a week, or longer. It will take anywhere from a few weeks, to a little over a month depending on the situation with shipping to get to the dealer.

Since you got a VIN, your chances are pretty good of having your car built, you could face delays but you should be in the 90%+ chance of it being built.

Interesting phone call from the dealership this morning, first I got really excited because the dealership name came up on my phone unexpectedly, but to only be asked if I was still interested in my car or if I would like to transfer it to someone else who was wanting it. I was like “gtfoh yea I want my car!” And I asked if there was any updates to which he replied only the owner of the dealership could call and figure out where it’s at. I thought this to be bs so I called customer service who this time told me it’s been built since the 29th but waiting to ship. There are no updates on either tracker. But they did say it could be here within a week. I don’t know what to believe…

If it’s going to Capital in Wilmington it will just show up. My original order car finally arrived unannounced and they called me asked if I wanted it, I said no. If you want a stand up guy over there ask for Hunter. Good luck with your order.
