I call Bullsh!t on GTP-J, unless I see a screen shot of the WBDO or DORA! No way it's a scheduled HP unless he's friends with Bill Ford. Either his dealer is blowing smoke out his @ss, this guy's a troll, or somebody really F-ed up. Way too many guys with 10 or better Priority that haven't been scheduled.

I hope everyone gets the car they want. If my order eventually shows up, great, if not- it's just a car.

so, long form, why I think I (we) are getting screwed again:

Last year, when the shortages hit, across multiple components, they determined they could build x amount of the ordered 700A HP cars, or the same amount of 600A HP cars since tires were a constraint, and the same amount of 700A non HP cars, since there was another constraint (seats, lighting, steering wheels, who knows...)

up to now, the constraint reason was tires. But GT500s are getting vins/orders, and their order books where after ours for 2022. So, it seems Ford is again (as a business, it makes sense, I get it) allocating as many GT500 high margin orders as possible, the remaining cup 2 tires will go to 600A M1 HP cars so that they do not have to take resources away from non HP 700A M1 cars.. and the M1 700A HP orders get yet again, screwed, because filling our order would cause them to lose out on an extra car at the end of the day.
I get your feels, but that makes no sense to make the high margin gt500 on one hand, but not make the highest margin mach 1- 700A HP on the other. If there are all the parts for them you'd think they would pull 700a HP first on equal priority codes. They are clearly making 700a non-HP already I imagine the HP just haven't got scheduled yet and GT500's were absolute top priority at many dealers for anything on tire hold. I know if I had a car order at massive ADM that I'd make sure it came out first. The tire hold just expired and scheduling looks like it might be starting again. I'd bet we start seeing some 700a HP get dates very soon. FWIW even then the first HP are going to be ones that have a regional code on them. That might be a mix of cars.

It does make sense if they can make two decent margin cars, 600A hp and 700A non hp vs one decent margin 700A hp cars. And that is exactly what we saw last fall. 700a non hp cars and 600a hp cars getting built, but not the combo.

There is also roughly a month remaining in Q1 revenue for Ford. Ford reports Q1 earnings on April 27 so the quarter must end about 2 weeks prior. Q4 was poor on the revenue side, so it could make sense to push as many high margin vehicles out before Q1 ends. That is of course if Ford recognizes revenue on product received by a dealer or perhaps shipped.

The term regional code, are you talking about getting a 01 priority? One term I haven't heard yet. Thanks

1-9 IIRC. Basically anything a dealer can't apply. My understanding is a regional manager needs to set those. I don't know if there is further hierarchy there other than 1 is better than 9. Any cars that had that applied are going to get pulled first for cup2 equipped cars.

That's what I was thinking, thanks for clarifying.

I can see that, but it requires a couple constrains to happen. I think its just too early to say they are doing that and plenty of 700a cars seem to being made. I’m anxious to get a date too. :\

You all really aren't helping my anxiety lately lol. Wait for my October HP car on order or snag a non-HP on the lot and add caster camber plates, GT350R or BMR SPH765 springs, lower splitter, and spoiler?

When I placed my order for a Mach 1 last Fall, my dealer had a new GT500 in the showroom (of course, I sat in it, and they even opened the showroom doors so my Wife could fire it up LOL). He told me I could just take that one instead of the Mach… I told him if he would price match it, I’ll take it on the spot LoL.

He said they wouldn’t budge on the price or the ADM because they only made so many, and Ford knows there are GT500 guys out there that will take it. Sure enough- a short time later, it was gone.

I saw a few of you have mentioned about priority code 1. My original order was placed for Fighter Jet Grey Mach 1 premium with HP, auto, no recaros. After multiple reschedules it got canceled mid November. I found out by contacting Ford Performance. I contacted the GM where I placed the order. He didn't know it was canceled either. He looked up my order and it said canceled. He contacted his regional rep. She said she would look into it. After about a week she told him to reorder it as a 22 with priority code 1. It must come through the rep.
