We found a dealership a couple weeks back that had one more allocation. I noticed on this order form that there are some different line entries than what is on another one of our forms from another dealership, that still hasn’t heard anything one their allocations. They are job#2 order, Priced DORA and a sales code number. It also mentions to ship to that sales code number along with the dealership address. The other dealership order form, that didn’t have allocations yet does not have any of those listings. I assume it is because the newer dealership that we are using does in fact have an allocation? It was still at priority 19 as of last week. Thanks.

anyone interested in a mischievous purple cftp with white vinyl stripes and tech package? MSRP is 103k. dealer wants 10K markup but I think it's a little bit negotiable. good chance to get probably a pretty rare cftp at a very reasonable adm. car should be arriving to the dealer in August. msg me.

Why? To be honest the mischievous purple is a pretty cool color. I'd take it over the Brittany blue if I'm honest. Has way more character. The vinyl stripes can be peeled off.
Mischievous Purple more character than Brittany Blue? That's like saying this guy...

Is that car speak for "Yeah, but she has a great personality"?

I guess it's matter of opinion and everyone has one. The mischievous color definitely has more character. It's black in lower light and a deep purple with lots of metallic in the sun. I get the heritage and I think it's cool to harken back to days gone by with the Brittany blue, but it also reminds me of my Grandma's best friends Chrysler New yorker.

If BB would have just been a normal color, not tied to a package that many people feel they can flip and make $$$ off of I would venture to say it would be one of the least popular colors. We will likely never know. The HE cars will naturally bring more money regardless as they were more expensive to start with, too much for paint and stripes imo. My .02.

bingo, ford is cashing in on the heritage can of worms they have opened up. if ford had brought back burnt amber from 1967 as a heritage color people would still bend over backwards to get it. a bronco heritage is in the works now too.

Ford can take my money. I love the color. It's unique, retro, different, and hasn't been used in a while by Ford on a Mustang. And to wrap that color around 760 HP, it's all the merrier. I was having a hard time deciding on color, or if I should even get a GT500. When I saw that thing, it resonated with me. Nothing to do with future collectible value.

Ford is in the business to cash in. And GT500s, 350s, and being a fan of a certain color or heritage cars... that's no "can of worms".

I love the HE500. If I were in the market today for a GT500 I would get one. Mostly because Ford Performance Blue is out for 2022, but I also do like the HE factor. Congratulations to all that are getting one.

Houston has a HE CFTP right now but it’s $135k.

I think all of what you said is great, however I feel like your particular story may place you in the minority.

Everyone has their reasons for choosing a particular color. Unfortunately most in the HE realm do see dollar signs.. maybe not in this forum but the dealers and many of those clawing to get them are doing so to make a profit.

I chose silver because I didn't care for atlas blue on the vehicles I looked at and velocity blue was gone, seeing it now it looks pretty good on the mustang. Anyway, I'm happy with my choice now that the car is here but I know the color isn't for everyone. Not being able to see some colors on cars before I ordered simply took them out of the running.

Tony it's great that you chose a color to your liking and not for profit, I did the same with my cars. Donkey is probably spot on with a large amount of HE buyers seeing dollar signs. No one expected the rapid value explosion of the 350 heritage and everyone was left in shock and awe. After the first one exploded on BaT there was a constant line of them for months when people realized they could cash out for nearly double after a year or 2. I'm sure everyone is holding their breath to see how the first loaded HE 500 does when it's listed and that will set the pace. Obviously everyone sees the writing on the wall, dealers are charging higher ADM's for HE's and they are everywhere on the local ford inventory searches.

If you look at the idea of a heritage edition model from a completely objective standpoint, it's a very profitable and genius idea. With the 350 HE ford made very little changes to the car and charged $1965 more. I'm sure they weren't expecting what happened but they learned that people are willing to pay more and line up for something different/unique. With the 500 HE ford made virtually no real change and charged $2140 more. Now the 350/500 are ultra low production cars that really don't make them that much profit compared to their bread and butter models.

Now apply the same formula to a truly mass produced vehicle like the up coming f150 and bronco heritage editions, very few changes and no development costs with thousands added to the msrp, and you just hit a grand slam.

350R hertiages had no changes from other 2020 GT350R’s. They charged $1,965 to match the year that the GT350 debuted “1965”. The $175 is a menial increase.

Your grandmother's best friends car reminds me how much I miss the 80s. Simpler times. Maybe that's why I like the color.

The color on the 60s bb cars just seems more blue than the more silver on the 2022. Maybe it’s the angles of the body.

There is something to what you're saying here. The 60s cars do look different. So does the media tour car from Nov. Either the lighting and filter is different or they tweeked the color. Also, the 60s cars in BB we're seeing are most likely repainted, so not even sure what it looked like in 1967 or so. I'm seeing 3 different shades here.
