Mine still has not shipped.
You would figure HTX has plenty of Ford dealerships around here that it would ship fast.
I'm not surprised. It seems as if there are at least 10 people between here and another forum whose cars are sitting in the lots waiting for shipment. Or maybe they have been shipped and the tracking page just isn't being updated at this point which is a real possibility.

So what does Priority Code 02 mean again?
Your dealer has an allocation and you're getting closer.

EDIT: I say that as someone that's been sitting at 01 since Feb. If there's a constraint, it won't matter the code.

It's a retail order, and it's in the default starting priority code.

When dealers place a retail order it will start in Priority Code 19, normally you'd be told by someone on this form to "ask the dealer to set it to a Priority 10" because for standard orders, a 10 means the dealer wants this scheduled with the highest priority of all current orders.

Dealers use Retail codes 10-19 for their customer "retail" orders, and the code determines the order in which the dealer asks cars be built (each dealership has 10-19 for their retail orders.)

This really does not apply to GT500's because they don't follow the standard when it comes to ordering due to allocations.

Each dealer who participates in the Shelby program gets one car, only one car is "promised" no matter what the dealer says is "coming".

So if you're the first allocation, and the first GT500 order that your dealer in the program is going to build, your Dealer will ask their Ford zone rep to change the priority code to a 01 or a 02, these are codes that can only be set by Ford, and once your order is in 01 or 02, it means you have your dealer's allocation, and then the wait for production scheduling begins.

If your dealer has already placed an order and your dealer is "hoping" to receive another due to their sales for the last year, all they're doing is hoping. Until they get Ford to change the code to a 01 or 02, it's just hope that they have an allocation and they're going to give it to your order.

Man this stuff is nuts. I was tol, I know its a salesmans word ( I know the owners and they told the salesman I am a family friend so I'm trusting him) that I have an allocation and I am the only Shelby order for that dealer. I hope it is all true and hope this thing comes through. Thanks for the knowledge!

The on-line tracker is not very accurate / detailed. Your dealer or Ford Performance should be able to see this screen. Yes, I’m still “delayed.”

You should have no reason not to believe them, it's a wild system even before we get into how odd the Shelby order process is. But until you see the priority code has been changed, just assume they're waiting on Ford to actually give them the allocation.

I like this update. The Ford tracker isn't reflective of what FP wrote me today. Could'nt even get on the tracker till just now. Says in production. I guess my bank account is about to take a big hit...
