2022 GT500 order thread

Could be my dealer doesn’t have a allocation same dealer I bought my 2020 GT500 from I’ll check with him. I hate being the high maintenance, obsessed customer that we all have seen in these forums. I’ll trust the process and wait.

Do you have preview order lije the one above?
That’s all you need to ask the dealer for.
You need to know your priority code.
It should be 10-19, most definitely a 10 if possible.
The one shown above with a priority 1 means the rep has that order selected to be picked up as soon as the factory picks up an order in that region.
I would not trust the dealer until you see that report.
Mine was ordered the first week of November and my dealer had it at priority 19 for a few weeks thinking 19 was better than 10. I assume 19 is the default until the dealer changes it to 10 (highest prior the dealer can assign).

Yes I have priority 10, hoping they can produce what they need to to fill all the retail orders.

Very nice. Are you happy with the car and color? Are you a private owner or dealership/Ford employee? I've only seen one other HE in the wild so far. Detroit guy on Facebook GT500 group.

i don’t work for Ford, I’m just an enthusiast. This is the only privately owned Heritage in Michigan, the other one is in Illinois. Ford does have the prototype so that might be what you’re seeing.

I have a VaiN assigned for my Mach1 HP. Would I have better luck cancelling the Mach1 HP and ordering a GT500 or they both are suffering in the available parts shortage?

note: there was about a 2 week delay (flat rock shut down), so it should have been built on the blend date 4/29.

Beautiful GT500. I will be joining you soon as a fellow Michigander. CFTP + HE currently in production. Anticipate its completion any day now. Hope to get it out to M1 as well.

Congrats! You got your GT500 built. I am debating n cancelling my Mach1 HP order and ordering GT500. I figure at this rate waiting for a build date on my Mach1 I have nothing to loose. I prefer the GT500 over the Mach1 HP anyway and regret not initially putting the order in for a GT500. Oh well

Nice find. So it's official... the 2022's get 3 stripe vinyl with the GT500 in it. I like.

Is there an easy way to explain this to my dealer without sounding like a you know what?

Right now I have a "Stock" order with a Priority code of 1 (no VIN) and when I email FP they say it's "unscheduled" and when I asked the dealer about changing a "Stock" order to a "Retail" order they said they'd never heard of such a thing and would ask Ford about it.

Any tips from folks in this thread?

I would make sure you can get an allocation before you cancel your Mach 1.
