There is not much wiggle room for most people, especially considering computers and most cars are autos now. Human error really just comes down to reaction timing, which can be tested in video games as a cheaper solution.
So what you're saying is that the driver has become almost irrelevant as far as drag racing current cars is concerned.

To me, that's not racing at all. Just an exhibition with the results being a mostly foregone conclusion. <yawn>

It's been a few years but the last time I saw a televised drag race event where there were short clips showing over the drivers shoulder, they put in work. A TON more steering than I ever thought there would be and it has to happen insanely fast to keep the thing straight at 300+mph.

I noticed on my Nvidia Shield Pro Plex app the TV tuner has all kinds of drag racing from last few decades. So crazy. Love the shield by the way.
Any other types of racing or drifting available? I have one too but use it for Youtune and Music lol.

Pension? As in, you're getting paid off the back of someone else's work? Sounds like socialist commie nonsense to me. Better stop cashing those checks before Bernie comes knocking looking for handouts

Well then, what are you god damn waiting for?

Besides, the circuits are from Taiwan, not the PRC 😘
wanna bet? :)

But back to WRX'ish content, I wish car manufacturers would go back to classic body styles. Windows and greenhouse you can see out of, graceful (and generally simple) lines. All this CAD/CAM mumbo-jumbo allows engineers to play (badly) graphic artiste instead of industrial mechanical design. It's supposed to be a car, not a rolling expression of ghastly/jumbled/incoherent "expression" of complex facets and compound curves, aka modern art.

It's due to the politicians we have been voting for more so than anything else. Car designers would love nothing more than to be able to make cool looking cars. A million and one laws tie their hands.

Anyone have any experience lining up against the Subaru crowd? Thing sounds pretty fast, especially with AWD.

I am assume it is faster on the quarter mile but for a track it may be a different story.
I have a 21 wrx with 8000 miles on it. It wouldn't be a race the mustang goes 0-60 in 4.5 seconds the wrx does it in 7.5. The magazines get the wrx down to 5.4 seconds but you have to really abuse the car to get there. It's not a fair race. 268 hp compared to 460 hp.
