I received my VIN Number this morning with a scheduled build date of 9/23 for my Base GT500

Post up the vin#, because scheduling has not started yet so you should have not gotten any update yet.

I spoke with "Kyle" whom said scheduling hasn't started yet. He then said "what's your VIN?, I will run it anyway". I read him the number and he said, YEP, I'll be. You are scheduled. Call me back closer to that week for an updated status.

I will watch for your window sticker. When it is available, you will get much more detailed information. If I am reading your VIN correctly, you have a very early build.

So wow I was wrong, they are starting to schedule the builds.

I do find it pretty silly that they are taking orders and scheduling builds, but still haven’t released a weight yet. At this point, all details should be out.

The GT350 was pretty much the same way. Basically the Ford loyalists who trust that Ford will make a great car that they want to buy get the first shot. People who have to see the reviews and stats will be farther back in line to order the GT500.

I can see good and bad in the strategy. It definitely helps the people who are true blue Ford guys to get the first shot at buying one.

I did and my order is not showing on the screens over a FP, gave them the correct dealer code and order #. Trying to have my dealer get to the bottom of it.
