Does the Ford Mustang GT FR3Z-16A200-A Engine Strut Tower Brace come as standard equipment on a 2020 GT Premium (non-Performance Pack) or does it have to be added after-market?

Don’t forget the 3rd piece of that puzzle, the cowl extension. FR3Z-63016A52-A
Arguably the most important part. The strut brace alone certainly doesn't add much, but with the cowl brace AND extension, it is like a completely different car. Great mod to really stiffen up the front end, especially considering the price.

If you are buying new, IMHO the 350 aluminium brace is a nicer looking (and lighter) piece :like:

It's pretty nickel-and-dime of Ford to just not put the bracing on all Mustang GTs regardless of trim/options. Same with the standard 18x8 wheels and tires. (Does any other performance car with 450+ horsepower come with 18x8 wheels and 235-series tires?)

Thanks ! I'd been wondering about that part & have ordered it as well. I hope these are easy to install. I've read from some people that the wipers need to be removed as well? Is that necessary / difficult to do & if so, will I need a tool for it? I only installed the strut brace originally last year & now decided to go with the cowl part too. Thanks.

This thread has all the parts and bolts you'll need. Best thread on here for this mod.

If I remember correctly, I only had to remove the right side (passenger side wiper arm) I used a small battery terminal cable puller to remove the wiper arm. Before I removed it, I put a piece of painters tape on the windshield where the wiper blade sat,, so when I installed it back on, I knew I had it clocked correctly & yes, , it’s a bit of a pain in the arse to install the cowl extension.

Thanks very much, I really appreciate the feedback. It's on backorder so I won't receive it for a couple of weeks, then I'll give it a go at installing 👍 Cheers- Phil

Thaks so much, really looking forward to getting this install done. Cheers, Phil
I just wanted to say thanks so much for this advice. I managed to finally get this done earlier in the week & am amazed at the difference. It took me approx 2hrs, & I wouldn't have attempted it without this advice. Very much appreciated 👏
