Does anyone have tips on how best to remove interior trim to run a power wire for my diff cooler from the trunk to the engine bay?
I've read about the fire wall grommet in the passenger foot well to get into the engine bay.
Is under the door sill the best route?
Apparently removing the back seat is a good start getting out of the trunk??

Hardest part for me is removing panels/trim without cracking or braking tabs, clips and the like so any hints on removal techniques is appreciated.

If it's just a smaller wire, like less than 12 gauge or so, you don't have to remove all of the interior. Start with the back seat bottom cushion and the side sill plates. Those are the easiest for inexperienced people to remove without damaging them and there are plenty of YouTube videos on them to help. From there, you can snake the wire under the more difficult pieces to remove working between the panels you have already removed. That should get your from rear diff under the back seat to the gromet behind the battery box fairly easily. Once there, it's a tricky route to get up into the engine bay safely but follow a factory line, zip tie to it and with some patience and sore hands you should get there.

Remove the lower rear seat by pressing the two tabs in (between the legs of the passengers. Throw a blanket over the exposed metal then fold the seats down.

Start at the sill plate next to the passenger seat, removing it. Then work your way forward on the footwell, exposing everything under the dash.

Then work backwards, pulling at the trim by the seat belt and rear window.

You aren't likely to break anything if you pull gently. It is more a game of practice than a game of being delicate.

You want to run power wires down the passenger side and any speaker wires down the driver's.

Photos show what I did. I couldn't figure out the engine bay fuse box, so I used the only remaining unused switched fuse in the interior fuse box.

BTW Bossdog, you participated in my thread last August.
