I hard wired my radar detector and ran the power wire to the inside fuse box at the passengers foot well. I tried 2 different unused fuses in the box and they both have power all the time. I am looking for a fuse that is only powered in the run position,or any other suggestions on how other people wired it.I dont want to use the mirror power. Thanks,Bill

power wire for radar detector which fuse

I read a while back in one of the posts that you should use fuse 36. It is the second from the top on the right. See your owners manual p. 207. The thread said it is powered only when the ignition is on and is an unused fuse.

Buy one of these to add to the fuse location:

fuse #36. My dash cam and radar are wired to that. When I turn on the car, it powers up, when I turn the car off, it powers off
