Just wanted a quick poll.
Has anyone on here been able to independently verify that the Roush tune makes 750Chp?
I ask because I took mine to a dyno to get a baseline after I had my doubts about the installer giving me a real dyno sheet when they said they do before and after dynos.
The car only had one decent pull and shut down at the speed limiter 124Mph.
After the first pull, the CATs were too hot and it would continue going pig rich reducing power further.
Power and dynos are how we mostly measure an engine's performance. If the consumer cannot measure advertised performance how will they ever know something is wrong before it goes catastrophic or if something occurs during warranty but limps across the non-warranty threshold.
This would mean the car has the potential to make 750Chp but will never actually see it due to tune limitations. I have seen that aftermarket tunes do make power consistent with this claim but I'm wondering about the logistics of advertising something that cant be actually achieved in its sold form.
This makes me question, are Roush's days numbered? The EPA crackdown on CATs is killing power. Also, CATs just store pollution they don't solve it, they end up in a dump at EOL. Without any good ideas on a new cooling system or different emissions reduction and measuring tool, I think electric is for sure muscle cars destine end. Also makes me think EPA is going to start going after all force induction vehicles above a certain HP. We may have very well seen the last of the high HP production streetcars. I have researched green CATs and they are not much better they simply are a bit more high flow but also burn out after a time and have to be rich run cooled. I know E-85 does burn cooler but what about CAT temps does it have a significant effect on those?
Has anyone else encountered a better way to cool CATs? Has anyone ever designed or used an active cooling system for their CATs?
I mean getting rid of them is always an option right, legal or not. How have we not improved this simple component with all our tech?
For reference "Drag" mode or any other built-in mode does not shut down the speed limiter nor the CAT protection.

I just spoke with the dyno guy in detail he still had the saved dyno. 4th gear is supposed to be the one-to-one which he used. Also, the car DID shut down at 124 MPH.
I will be getting the run file on Monday and then scheduling a new dyno to verify these results.
I also emailed Roush to get their side of the story here and find out if something was done wrong or this is what a customer car is like now.
I can rev out the car in daily driving so it's not a limitation of the RPM. Something else is at play here. No, I have never wrapped out 5th gear and never gone over 110 on the highway so I can't verify the speed limiter.
People throw this conservative word around with their tunes but this is not acceptable if true.
I would also like to add that this may be the trickery of the dealership I bought from. However, they are a nationwide name for making production performance Mustangs and my purchase papers say Phase 2 all over it, not to mention the dyno graph I was given.
